Update with virus?

Mine showed NO VIRUS when i got the free update...

Railworks.Exe contains the pattern of TR/Dropper.Gen and has been quarantined so I can't use Train Sim at the moment :-(

I have same problem as "europeantechnic" has above. Trojan.TR/Dropper.Gen being reported by my anti-virus protection program "F-Secure". Update is then paused, so can'rt complete update.

I'd guess its probably a generic behaviour/heuristics detection based on trojan like behaviour (i.e copying exe files to locations or executing files that are packed) as part of the update process?

What AV are you guys using?

Bitdefender here, I've left it updating as i've gone to my workshop, see if its tantrum'd once I head back :D

I have done some research on this TR/Dropper.Gen and yeah just seems to be a false report as if you googled you would find that it has been mass talked about from even way back like 2009 at least and guess what its mostly about that some antivirus software are false reporting things yep not even fully connected with this game one dude had his whole windows updater flagged with this TR/Dropper.Gen and oddly all i've read was mostly about this virus program i've never heard or seen called Avria, so if you get this problem and got Avria, I would say scrap it and get something that has had more research to build a good virus software clearly Avria isn't working on improving any time soon that even in 2020 reports of Avria was false reporting games to programs with this file name to go off so yeah i would say its good to go, restore you're quarantined game files and if you carry on using your software of you're picking make sure to let it know this game is fine, I will now be going about downloading it myself now knowing its highly likely not a filled with a virus at all + it would of made the gaming news as well by now.
