https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=+Croydon+Tramlink++for+Train+simulator&view=detail&mid=91C72AC4BDC6640428F091C72AC4BDC6640428F0&FORM=VIRE
I have searched many times for a tramlink route before as I too would love to see them in TS. Unfortunately I have not found anything resembling a route which is a shame, although I do remember one forum which mentioned a route in the works. If I can find it I will let you know. Below I have compiled the tram assets that I know of on UKTS (including the links to ones you mention in the OP):
CR4000 tram: http://www.uktrainsim.com/filelib-info.php?form_fileid=27013
Tramlink stop: http://www.uktrainsim.com/filelib-info.php?form_fileid=27014
Tram tracks: http://www.uktrainsim.com/filelib-info.php?form_fileid=21191
Tram poles: http://www.uktrainsim.com/filelib-info.php?form_fileid=20755
There is also the tram route that as you mention, which requires the above files. Unfortunately many of the requirements have been taken down from UKTS and are not available, rendering the route broken: http://www.uktrainsim.com/filelib-info.php?form_fileid=22766
With the above assets, and general TS tools, I myself have attempted a tramway, and more recently a modern tramway. My catenary skills and track laying are not the best so I had to give up, however it is doable. I really must try and find that discussion I mentioned, it is bugging me.
I hope this helps.
"Part's of it are in South London & Thameslink (very small part at Beckenham Junction towards Birkbeck), and of course a smaller bit in Chatham Main Line (pretty much the same track as South London & Thameslink - it was built off that :) ), although not so sure South London & Thameslink would cope so well with the tramlink in there too it would already have a lot of scenery around there. (I've pretty much given up on the North/West/South two routes - too unstable)"
It's very handy to know precisely what's covered in these London WS routes.
Thanks IC125 for the links. The 'broken' route was interesting to see, as you said shame the required assets seem to be no more.
Good on you for having a crack at creating a tramway yourself. Nice to hear you think building a track doable with the given assets. I'm sure I'd be fine with the track itself, but like you I fear I could get in real trouble with the catenary! ;) Still guess I should have a little play with the assets we do have, and see what I then reckon. All the best
Thanks for the link Ron - interesting viewing. I must confess I don't know a whole lot about the legacy MSTS. But I suppose it's possilbe that some of the scenery assets for such a route might theoretically be usable within Railworks. So I'll have a little explore of MSTS assets on the various freeware forums, and see what comes up for the tramlink. Cheers, Al.
No obvious activity since 2015ish unfortunately.
An interesting link. I might PM the individual to see how (if) their project progressed. Although looks like they may no longer be an active forum member.
I saw this article (link below) on a wider route that a player called alexk1998 - their mention of the tramlink within their route sounded quite promising. But again no update since, and that's a couple of years ago now.

Do you know whether it's possible to PM another account user on the Dovetail site? I'd try and send a message to this individual but can't find a way of doing this.
I think the only way to PM individuals is to firstly request to be a friend to that individual and if the individual agree's, you should be able to PM each other as much as you both wish. Hope this helps.
Except I can't work out how to do that. Unless I'm missing something obvious, there seems to be no way to search for users (to find them) & if found send a message. Perhaps I'm just plain blind (& being daft!) but that's one of the reasons I soon gave up on the new Dovetail account. Best, Al.
Not sure if this is how it works but you can search for users with this link: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/members/
However I tried to find the individual but no results were found. The user who posted about the trams may not be on the DTG forums which rather limits our chances of contacting them. Unless anyone knows otherwise I doubt they have been around since that post was made.
Good luck with any further research, if there's any more I can do to help then I will be happy to do so.
Thanks for checking that out, even if a bit of a dead end. As one last stab I'll perhaps try DTG_James to see if he had any contact details for the author of the article - he must have gone through Jay to get the article published on their website.
I'm going to have a bit of a play around with various assets. I like what Danny has done with the start of his South London & Thameslink workshop route. It's a nice tidy start to part of the tramlink. And the assets used seem good ones, as well as the rest of the general area being incredibly well done. So that might perhaps form a very good platform, for starting a full-on tramlink route. I'll have more of a play with assets, and give it some more thought - and then we'll see.

Similarly the related 'Southern Lines' (WIP) route article which I was reading (again just a few days ago) has also seems to have been taken down.
https://train-simulator.com/the-southern-lines-work-in-progress-route
This appears like a deliberate removal of these two articles both mentioning development work on WIP routes incorporating the Croydon Tramlink. Why would that happen?
Perhaps Jay (DTG_James) if you're reading this you could contact me (via Steam chat) and explain. Thank you.
They maybe just working on this page and such? Just an idea.
