I am not a 'techy' man but if you could post your full PC specs by going up to 'Help' and then 'System Information' and copy and paste that info it would be helpful all round :-)

To run this game I usually turn my computer on and hit play. What else do you need to know?
Sorry Axe, I had to......

Are you running Railworks on your SSD system drive ? If so how much space do you have left? This is a small drive.

(naughty man) haha amd yeah it is just this game that seems to fail to be max out on 1080p as i know 390x can do it as all rest of games i got is 100% max and ran above 60+ Fps all time
Axe (Bị đình chỉ) 11 Thg05, 2017 @ 4:16pm
Yeah Hawky. TS is a fickle beast but thankfully now you can get some advice from the experts if they see this thread of yours :-)
OldAlaskaGuy 11 Thg05, 2017 @ 4:17pm
I can run this game between 50-100 f/s in MSAA. In SSAA it is somewhat reduced. F/s will vary by route and scenario. Areas with high density sceenery, clutter, AI and a lot of rolling stock will reduce f/rs significantly. Start in MSAA, reduce shadow quality, view distance and scenery density for starters. My system specs in my profile for compaireson.

Hello Hawky For Life, I know it's frustrating, same for everyone with good hardware though.
TS2017 is an older 32bit sim with an older graphics core, updated as much as possible, but now to be retired with continuing support from mainly third parties later on.
TS2017 can't take full advantage of modern hardware. Tile loading takes place as you progress along your chosen route, as the next section of route is loaded into memory, 32bit 4GB memory limits cause micro stutter you and everyone experience. A SSD will help reduce the effect.
64bit TSW (Train Sim World) is the recently released TS2017 replacement, although the two sims are not compatible with each other. TSW uses the UE4 game engine, much better modern graphics/effects plus TSW can take full advantage of your hardware.
Best.
Edit: You have a very good GPU as long as you don't set your AA too high at 1080p, your card has enough power to process SSAA for much better displayed game quality. I would suggest no higher than 2xFXAA X SSAAx2 though, or your fps will drop to much.
I would also suggest trying AMD's SVR (Super Virtual Resolution) at 2560 X1440 resolution but lower your TS in game AA settings to 1xFXAA X SSAAx2. Experiment with SVR, aim for 25-30 fps and use your GPU's frame rate cap within Radeon Settings (it works very well) set it for 30 fps to smooth out processed images. A smoother 30 fps max is much better than choppy fps all over the place. SVR is a type of AA as an end result and works very well with TS2017.
In addition, in case you are not aware, make sure TS2017 has control of your GPU and not the other way around. Check your Radeon Settings and TS2017 game profile, make sure 'Application Controlled' is set within all settings that have that as a choice. TS2017 then has control of your GPU as it should. The other way around can cause big problems and messed up graphics.

Have set to 2x FXAA and 2x SSAO but how do i boot in 32 bit 4 gig when it does launch straight into game and not give me options ?
Oz Gaming 12 Thg05, 2017 @ 2:41am
I don't know if the game already is 4GB optimized but there is a 4GB patch available for 32 bit games running on 64 bit systems from the link below.

The 4GB patch is no longer of any use as it has been included into TS for a while now.

There are no options about running the game in "32bit 4 gig" because that is all part of the coding. That is how 'the game' will run itself. That is the way it was made. Even if you launch the game on a top of the range 64 bit PC with 100 million GB memory, it will still only run as a 32 bit game and still only make use of a maximum 4 GB. You cannot change that.
