Also - If you get the AWS sound or the yellow button thing showing, press 'Q' to cancel it within a few short seconds otherwise the loco will shut down.
Remember it is dual power overhead/third rail so this needs to be understood when choosing which scenariois it can run on.

That depends if its HUD or ADV - ADV being more advanced (yes i know), they have cold starts so you have to do things manually than your average W for Reverse, ; for Brakes and A for Throttle
It just stays at 0% and when i use F4 and pull it up on the HUD Display it just bounces back to 0%

It runs ok with HUD controls then. The Advanced version (ADV) can also use the main controls such as Hud throttle and Brake if you want, but cab/keyboard controls for most other things.
Even in the easier HUD mode you still have to manually change power mode.
Plus as the guys have mentioned above you really need to read the manual.
Didn't you read post No 4, 5 and 6?
