(By Time Era) Oldest Locomotive TS19.
Hello! I was curious what the oldest Locomotive was that TS19 has for purchase. I live in the US and I know of the Civil War Jupiter, as well as Clear Creek.

Does it go even further back to “The Henry, and The Grasshopper”?

Thanks!

PS,
What English Steam locomotives will work with Weardale & Teasdale download. Any UK gamers out there who have recommendations for English locos (steam or Diesel), for a US gamer?
I know mostly US locos
(Forgive me if I butchered that name).

I recommend the Stanier Black 5 by Bossman Games... They also just released a very good Stanier 8F as well, but that's only available to buy on the BMG website at the moment... and pretty much anything from Victory Works for British steam.

LMS classes weren't unknown in this area. I think the trans-Pennine route from Tebay had restricted route availability but lighter loco's could come over that way. There's a photo of a L&Y Loco' in Bishop Auckland. There's a few LNER and NER classes available including the new G5 and the utterly lovely looking Q6 (don't tell Broomwagon I said that) as well as various BR standard classes none of which would look out of place. There's even a good excuse to run the top link express loco's since the Durham to Darlo' via Bishop route would be used for diversions.

Digital Traction have some very good pre-Grouping locos some of which would be at home on the Weardale.

Just be aware that the Digital Traction and CW locos on there are simplified models, so if you're looking for a full steam "Simulation" then they may not be for you, they sure do look and animate beautifully though :)

Thank you guys/gals on the recommendations, and info!

One LAST question!

Are there other areas you can purchase the locomotives, that will possibly work with TS19 on Steam?

Or is it strictly on Steam and the TS19 Store (in-game)

I think the handcart might be a little bit older than the the smokebox' wild west locos, but that would be about all, I believe
