https://store.steampowered.com/app/562386/Train_Simulator_New_Haven_E33_Loco_AddOn/ is a great engine. You also may consider the FL9 which is much cheaper and not so exciting, just nice: https://store.steampowered.com/app/258642/Train_Simulator_New_Haven_FL9_Loco_AddOn/
The Budd RDC model is for the time being not available. There were some internal changes at the vendor's website which we thought were a good point for us to retire this model for now. We haven't decided yet when and in which form it may return. A payware re-release would certainly require quite some effort on our end because, as Rudolf Jan quite rightly pointed out, the model looks rather dated now (that's because it is. The core of it dates back to before 2010).
Meanwhile, the FL-9 is indeed a good choice for a prototypical passenger locomotive on the Springfield route (or maybe even as a freight unit at night-time when no passenger trains were running) -- and Reppo's E-33 is just an awesome model all around and great fun on NY-NH.
In addition to those, you can find some useful NH repaints of other locomotives on RailworksAmerica.com
What IS MISSING, though, are the Freeware packs TaD made, hosted and allowed for download through their old store site.
Are they gone forever? Anyone knows?
Is there any other website hosting those?
Here's a sample of what was there:
Clicking on the links to these files now refer to some random web-host/websites.
Btw, I do have to agree, the Budds - especially the cabview - look like "my first 3D model project" ... but if you ever have had played any of the Beekay models, you are familiar with that.
IF you though, play outside the cabview, the outside model (and sounds) are fair enough. For 3-5 bucks, people would still buy it? We were asked way more money for way worse before? Having somebody, who KNOWS 3D modelling could redo this in a day or two.
I also like to play TS20xx with Nvidia's (stereoscopic) 3D Vision driver, which makes the game look superb(!) - like miniature model trains - and the outside view is good enough and works well that way.
I assume you mean these are available to people who have already purchased them, rather than to new purchasers?
Yes, I'm afraid. Sadly so.
They COULD re-release this old stuff as freeware. That would be a good way to draw new costumers to their store. :)
A-ha! Thanks for the reminder about those. Some of the items on your list (see above, plus a few others not listed) are older models I created but completely forgot that they would also have fallen victim to the restructuring at T&D.
Whatever I can come up with, probably also for the Buddliners, it will either happen on my website (http://golden-age-rails.com/) or on RWA.
Good man!! :)
I'm more into 50s and earlier that modern, so I was hoping that 50s NYNH wouldn't have changed too much.
Also, how common would 'foreigners' be on any given route? Would 50s PRR (Horseshoe curve) be ok as a complimentary company?
