Tunnel problems Settle/Carlisle.
Apart from the two tunnels near Lazonby and Culgath where there are unwanted obstructions in the tunnels since I purchased the game. I now have the situation that at the southern end of the Blea Moor tunnel if travelling north I run into what could only be described as "a curtain of grass" blocking the tunnel entrance on some occassions. This problem only started last weekend. My question is, is there way to remove it and the other obstructions in the tunnels.? It's just a real pity that such beautiful route is suffering these problems. Don't want to get angry as w'ere about to head into spring here down under, but it's frustrating when your building scenarios and this happens.

It's quite a common bug with TS, though I haven't had it with Settle to Carlisle. I'm not going to be much use to you though I'm afraid as I don''t know why it occurs or how to solve it. It is just a visual issue though, doesn't stop trains using the tunnels.

I used to get this too and the way I removed it was to increase the Anti aliasing and texture filtering settings. I found that this happened with the lower settings but dissappeared with higher settings. Obviously if you increase setings performance may suffer, so you would need to experiment a bit to get a nice balance. BTW I have a Nvidia card.
I still get obstructions within the tunnels though (like passing through a plate that is between the trackkks), but at least I don't have to drive through a wall.

Have you verified your files in Steam?

This bug shows up in one of PTGRail's YouTube videos. IIRC he attributes it to an add-on (from AP perhaps).

Installed any add-ons recently?

Thanks for your replies. I Changed the Anti alaising from just FXAA to FXAA+4MSAA and texture filtering from Anisotropic from 2 to 4 and this appears to have solved the problem. Thanks colinp21. I do run sound settings from AP and have done so for a number of years on Class 37 but its never been a problem but I will keep that in mind, thanks JJTimothy and thanks HighTower.

I've had another look at that video and I misremembered- the Blea Moor tunnel looking blocked he just ascribes to a bug. The curtains of wall texture that appear in a couple of the tunnels nearer Carlisle get blamed on tunnel occlusions that he installed but I see them too and I haven't made any modifications to the route.
