Railworks America site hacked??

I was wondering if the site of Railworks America got hacked by the hackers because of this site have been closed since Monday for maintenance. I see other messages outside this forum that this site might be hacked. Also I did not see any messages from the administrators of RWA post their message over other forums and all are quiiet. Let me know if this site is hacked or closed for maintenance.

Just checked and can't get onto the website at all. Even the "Contact" link that comes up in a Google search doesn't work.

Several of us are in the process of finding more information on this. Let us not overspeculate at the moment. I am sure that more accurate information will be forthcoming soon and if it does it will be noted in this thread. RWA is one of the best sites for this hobby and their collection of files and information is second to none.

I don't know much except the problem is at the ISP level not on the site itself. We will tell you more as soon as we know more.

Go to library tab at the top of this page then downloads and see if it in your download queue. If it is then click on the download now tab. BTW most of these questions have been asked hundreds of times and if you use the search feature it will point you to more information. Try to keep your posts in the correct thread or start a new one instead of hijacking a thread. You will have better results.

May not be hackers affecting the RWA site. Depending on how an Apache web server is managed, a situation can arise where maintenance mode can't be reset. This seems to happen more often when using php to configure and run the server. I teach my students to use the command line and shell scripts.

Nothing as of yet. They are working on getting it back up. If I receive any updates I will pass it on.

I have to say - I am feeling the loss of that amazing site. I gotta need for some RWA!
* checking the page every 30 minutes - that's how bad the need is.
