Has 64bit broken all AP stuff?
I have a lot of AP stuff like others and as you know it can be a pain to install it all again so does anyone know how much has been affect by the 64bit update?
What are the clever experienced and wise people doing? Restarting from scratch after checking for AP updates with a vanilla 64bit install or what?

Does anyone even know it AP have completed all their updates?

Put simply, no. It’s fine.

They have updated the 350,450, 175 & 91 and there was also a recent update to scenario pack 36 I think. Aside from that everything works fine, although go to their website and have a look at the update log. That’s what it’s there for!

yes, after an update they are gone. Just go to your downloads and reload them. Pain but necessary, good luck!

What are you talking about? They are not ‘gone’!

The only things I had an issue with was after steam seemed to do some sort of verify, it wiped out the track EP & the lighting effects EP. Loco wise you should be fine.

That said, if you want to be absolutely certain then do a full reinstall.

everything works fine on my end
have a few and didn't run into any problem
all of them are up to date though

No issues at all.
In fact most of the issues they've actually patched I barely even noticed.

So far I have only had issues with the Class 47 Soundpack (Pro)*, namely that I can't hear the generator from in cab, other than that, I have had no issues so far............a friend had issues with the class 450/455/350 EPs but nothing else.

I can confirm that the following are running fine:
Class 37 Soundpack, Wagon Soundpacks, Mk1/2 Soundpack, Wagon soundpacks, both the old and the new 2 and 4 axle ones, Class 43 Enhancement Packs, Class 86/87 Soundpack, Class 67 Soundpack, Class 150/153/156 Soundpack (at least with the 156*), Class 66 Enhancement Pack.
I would also call the Class 55 "Deltic" Soundpack clear so far......as I have had one Access Violation Crash when running the Deltic in a QD on North Wales Coast, but could not reproduce it on another Route (Glencoe).
Edit: Class 90 both the Version from the AP site and the GEML Class 90 Steam release work as well.

However I'm nowehere near through my full collection of AP stuff, especially the locos and rolling stock, as I've been working on a steam era scenario......
On that note the RSC 6MT Clan has been troublesome as well, especially with the Br Blue-Grey Repaints for the Coaches by Richard Fletcher, that is an access Violation mine on my system.
Stoking bug also persists and happens way faster than before.

*Had a crash with the troublesome Scotrail Saltire Repaint out of the UKTS Freeware Scenario Pack for the WCML-N (modified some scenarios to use more modern rolling stock.), but that one has been troublesome for years, namely that one carriage is never really showing.
And the Scenario is rather old, and might contain some errors.

Found out about the Class 47 Soundpack by running one of Rosgar's Snacktime Scenarios on the Western Mainlines.......they make even a run in that rather old default loco enjoyable.
I did inform AP about the Class 47 pack, can all of you that have it check it as well and report it to AP if you can reproduce the error.

@Hightower, yeah that is the norm after each verify, as the files that are modified get replaced in a verify by steam.

@ Wolf ! Already spoke to Richard at AP about the Class 47 Sound Pack and quite frankly ! He didn't show much interest in the problem I was having with loss of sounds on some 47 engines, that rather surprised me, normally! He will do everything he can to help you fix the problem. So ! I decided to no longer install that Class 47 Sound Pack again.

Probably intends on making a Class 47 EP in the future to replace the sound pack perhaps?

True but it is still rather bad behaviour against the customer...........and one reason AP is so popular is that they have had exemplary customer support.

And I've heard more than one grumbling of discontent over the recent EP Policy, where the default versions aren't improved and the prices rise.
All the while cutting off soundpacks for units that aren't improved, Class 325 Cough, cough, Class 360 Cough, cough.
One of the cool things about the Class 43 Packs was that it improved the default trains and improved even years old Scenarios.

I know it's an old pack, and probably doesn't sell too much anymore but it would be a gesture of good faith if he fixes that, and a gesture of bad faith if he doesn't.
There are grumblings of discontent already.........I don't think he really wants to butt heads with the community.........it would be a sad day.

The only problem I've run into with AP with since the 64bit update is that the spacebar for the horn barely makes a sound anymore.
@Wolf ! I agree with what you have said, fingers crossed that the gesture of good faith comes, as it really isn't good for him. Maybe he was having a bad day.

Agreed, I hope the same.

Done some further testing, the AP Class 321, Class 40 and the Class 33 Soundpack work fine.
(Aside from one awesome run in the JT Clan. ;) )
Thanks for all the replies whenI can be bothered I think I will have to update and reinstall for peace of mind.

You're welcome!

I can further clear the Class 31, 50, 52, 57 and 60 Soundpacks....which completes the Locomotive Soundpacks currently available from AP.

Aside from the Class 47 Soundpack, all the others work for me.
