Best Virtualrailroads regional train?
Hello,

I am once again wanting to buy buy a new train: this time one for my regional german scenario's/services (RB/RE). I want to buy a VR train, i have looked at multiple youtube videos of each of these but i cannot decide. So this is a question to all: which is the best and/or your favorite?
These are my options (open to recommendations):
http://www.virtual-railroads.de/expert-line/el-trainsets/db-bdnrzf-br141.html
http://www.virtual-railroads.de/expert-line/el-trainsets/db-bnrbdzf-br110-bf.html

http://www.virtual-railroads.de/expert-line/el-trainsets/db-br103-orientrot-lang.html
(the last one isn't really regional but to me it is comparible to the RE nowadays)

anyone?

In my opinion every train from VR Expert Line is worth it! I bought any trains over time and I never regret. Yes it's hard to pick one and if you could effort some do it! In addition there are repaints available for those trains at Rail-Sim.de.

What's your favorite regional train?

My favorite is DB BR101 / Bpmbdzf IC EL with usable EBula. There too I have the
MF DB BR145 EL
DB BR151 EL Blau-Beige
DB BR189 EL
DB BR111 EL Lufthansa Express
DB BR140 EL Erzzug
DB E40 and DB E10
DB BR103 Lufthansa Express
Baureihe 143 EL

They all are wonderfully designed and well playable. TS now makes much more fun. The next train will be DB ET403 IC EL.

How do you like the br111 and br103? I'd really like to get the br103 but i haven't yet because i can't decide on which version i want (between TEE and Orient red long). The br111 is also very interesting to me because it's a staple of the RE.
I was thinking about the et403 but since it hasn't been in service for a long time i'm probably not getting it

The BR103 mostly is used for passengers und can speed up to 200 km/h. Please refer to the manual for using the brakes AFTER you cut off accelleration first!
The BR111 is used to be standard for driving goods (and bads, lol). It is nice when driving in double traction. It is very important you read the maunual if you are not familiar with Expert Line. It will give you more realism.

So all I will say it is your money and it is your choice to pick a good one, maybe it won't be the last. Oh and please take a look on the VR website in the section 'Aufgaben', here you may find some good scenarios for your trains.

Thanks for the advice!
I already own some VR EL loco's, like the BR189, BR181.2 and BR 120. I went ahead and bought the br 110+ the regional coaches and driving trailer (don't know what it's called). I think next purchase will be the br103 TEE (because there are still 2 loco's in tee design in service), even though i like EMU's, the ET403 wasn't used in and from the the 2000's

And also, do you happen to own Freiburg-Basel? I'm really interested in border routes and it looks good
Stoned Henge Jul 20, 2018 @ 11:52am
Freiburg - Basel isn't in my stack yet but I will bye it soon. Yeah there are many routes for sale. I prefer german routes because I am German and some austrian routes too, which can be driven by german locos. TS is a fan's paradise and besides all negative posts about dump files, fps and so on there is no problem I had I couldn't get solved.
