military trains

i found some military train workshop...but they all have failed to load. Does anyone have any good setup that will load?

I've had generally poor luck with workshop DLC: something's often missing, broken, undocumented, etc., and in the case of military trains I usually roll my own (sorry, couldn't restst.) Here are two packages I've downloaded from RailWorks America that have useful loads and work for me:
M1A2Abrams_flatcar.rar - 198 kb
Army_Loco_Car_Pack_update.zip - 79 MB
Search the RWA file library for these. I think you'll be pleased.

The only problem is that you need the FlatCarPack01 in the DTG assets.
That was one of the Rewards given by DTG in 2016 and I don´t know if it is still available.

The lack of that asset may be the reason the workshop items will not work.

i found the site...does the other files need packs to load into the 2017 train sim? and if not, where does it go...

Not sure with the second file, but I guess so. Read the instructions at RWA.

does the same apply to additonal car skins and such...and file locations where they need to applied

They may fail to load because you do not have the required assets. Workshop does not usually contain assets needed.

so the stuff i downloaded ..even the csx 8886 sd40 may not load...i am trying to figure what packages i need to upload so i can load skins up,and flatcars..and location of files they need to be in 2017 ts

You ne3ed to read the workshop dependancies to see what you need. By will not load can you be more specific please?

This was one of 6 rewards DLC given from Oct - 2015 to March 2016 if I recall correctly. One of them being the infamous Pump Car... which is now free.

I believe I read someone mentioned that the military reward is currently included in Sherman Hill. I am not sure of this. But if this is true, maybe verifying just the Sherman Hill DLC, would make appear those flatcars.

About the Pump Car, I have not used anymore since the days after its release. That would do a good addition in the Narrow Gauge routes, if it was slightly modified.

where is the location of files in 2017 these need to go to....I have a skins folder but nothing in it...
