Hi all, I couldn't agree more. 15 inch gauge stuff has been neglected for far too long and I imagine would have a superb appeal with all the variety of rolling stock.
The Ravenglass and Eskdale would be one heck of a beautiful route to do, not to mention a challenging drive with the steep gradients. Equally beautiful and wide is the rolling stock, the oldest working 15 inch loco, the most powerful 15 inch gauge loco, and one of the best looking!
The Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch railway would offer parallel running and a huge variety of rolling stock for that "mainline in miniature feel." This would offer a longer run than "the Ratty" but I'd be equally overjoyed at either.
It'd be particularly wonderful if it was created in TSW, the ability to walk around and get the true sense of scale would be superb, but we haven't even got steam yet, so that's years down the line of it were to ever happen.
I know there was an MSTS version of both the R&ER and the RH&DR, so if someone was up to the challenge, some updated 15 inch gauge content would be superb!
All the best, S.
Many thanks - Railfan.
In summary (for those who don't like to read). UK: Welsh narrow guage. and for the USA: Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad.
A nice K-28 Mikado model, already has been produced by Britkits. You'll perhaps have to bite the bullet though and download & install outwith STEAM. Not quite sure what's so difficult for you in doing so. Being adverse to non Steam sold content, effectively means you're missing out on more than three quarters of all available content for TS. There's far more stuff not on Steam (commercial 3rd party stores + numerous Railworks forums) than found here in the Steam store. And a wide selection of some of the very best content for the game is not available through Steam. Hey ho, your loss if you can't be bothered.
I purchased it on the Dovetail website. They have their Spring Sale on now. I paid $17.50 AUD. Here's the link (Price is in Euros)
