multiple bugs in TS 2017

I can't really find anything about them via google (might just be me) but I recently downloaded TS 2017 from scratch and I found multiple bugs, maybe there are some I don't think of now or didn't notice yet.
When I run the second activity on the German Hamburg-Lübeck route, I arrive at the final station only to find that the doors won't open, therefore I can't unload passengers, therefore the mission fails!
About the TGV: I have speed reduction warnings on the TVM display, but not in the HUD. Or when TVM is switched off, suddenly I can only apply power by continuously pressing A, which is resolved when I save and reload the session...

But a more general question: what do I need to unlock Standard and Free Roam driving? Am I supposed to finish every mission first? (like the one that won't)

There is no unlocking required. The scenarios that come with a route are all available to play from the start.

Different routes have differering scenarios etc and it is the route that dicatates what comes with it. It will say on the routes store page which type of scenarios it comes with. Some routes don't have standard and free roam scenarios. Some Routes don't appear in quick drive etc.

Hint, play in expert mode. Some locomotives will not function properly if you don't.. You can change this is the settings. Also turn off the introduction video there as well.

Oh ok, so I have to download stuff to do free roaming, it's not in the default package...
(with German, French, British and American routes).

Also I play in expert mode since the beginning. I just played the last TGV mission in the list, it kept switching between 300 and 270 limit constantly. Come on developers, can you please test your equipment before you release it? Jeez!

Introduction video is also turned off already...

You can always make your own freeroam scenarios in the editor. No need to download anything. It's actually pretty easy to create your own freeroam scenario. Search YouTube for some tutorials.

Also, the constant switch between 270 and 300 km /h happens when you are following another train. Nothing wrong with that, just keep your speed below the limit. If you're not always accelerate to the highest possible speed, you will get a much smoother run.

As mountainman says create your own freeroam scenarios, TS is very powerful, most people just don't realise what can be done in freeroam.....watch some youtube guides to get you started......but always clone your route first.

Hm. So it's normal that it switches in between signals just a few seconds apart?

And now again, I can wait endlessly on one of the British missions at the final station, the signal is read and the HST wont' leave the station...

Scenarios are buggy as heck - I pretty much gave up on then a while a go. However quite a good tip, go into the map view and see if there are any trains ahead, hence it should be red, if not it's probably a bug.

You can't save and leave the mission! Never!

What the ♥♥♥♥ are you talking about? I didn't say anything about saving and leaving the mission? By the way you can... Done it many times.

Welcome to the world of "bugs" err "Train Simulator". You will find many career scenarios with bugs or just can't be completed. This is a program with great potential but unfortunately, the creators don't have the skills necessary to make it great. You just have to accept Train Simulator for what it is, a great concept with not so great implementation.

On the button there Sgt. I think after a while you learn how to side step most of the bugs if you build and run your own freeroams......well I say a 'while' in my case 1000hrs.

I wonder how Train Sim World will be in terms of bugs. It already looks amazing I must say.

With the update this week I noticed by the way that it just doesn't start at all anymore: black screen at startup with menu sound. Could be screen resolution problem, I don;t know. I run Windows in 4K and the game in 1080p. Tried diferent methods found on the internet, even reinstalled the game where it crashed during the video, so I tried again by skipping the vid and finally I managed to enter the menu. I changed settings (also the resolution which was in 4K, way too heavy for my pc) and had to restart it. Oh boy. Black screen again.

Update: never mind, I gave it a shot and it started again, in 4K though and my pc handles it just as well. I just don't dare change settings to improve graphics yet.
