Adaptive Bloom - or Not?
I see this as an option in the TS settings.

I hate bloom in the other games I play and I always turn it off without question. It appears as a hazyness around large objects and removes by effect any sharpness. Like soft focus on a camera. Yuk!

In TS I have always it set to off but as I have recently been fortunate to get a newer PC I have just decided to see the effect it has on TS by having the game at the highest settings and bloom is the last thing I have left to try out. All is now on full settings.

I have just tried a number of tests on the Pacific Surfliner route with the F59PHI Amtrak on the 'Riding the Surf, Part 1 scenario and well, I can't see any difference. Not even the frame-rate drops.

I am happy to turn it off again but do still wonder if others can see the effect in TS?

Well you got me curious, so off I went to have a look.

Bloom OFF; Measured FPS at couple of points.

Take this one - 89 FPS going under a certain gantry approaching London Victoria (My own model), free roam and no A.I. traffic. No detectable blurring or change of lighting in transition from light to dark.

Bloom ON; FPS at same points had dropped a little. In the above example now about 82 FPS. I could not notice any visual changes at all.

My spec's > AMD FX6300 OC'd @ 4.02 GHz - NVidia GTX 660 2GB - 16 GB Sys RAM - Windows 10 64bit Pro - all on a 256 GB SSD
