No USA South Eastern Routes
Why have there been no updates and more USA routes added? I am tired of the horseshoe route and NY/NJ routes. No New Orleans, Atlanta, Charlotte, Washington DC areas and routes can be added for these southern major cities? These are major Amtrak hotspots

Probably comes down to development time and which freight company runs in that area. If it's a BNSF area then I doubt it due to licensing issues unless they left it unbranded.

Is Florida Southeast enough? Miami/ West Palm Beach

I'd like to see the Florence, SC to Savannah, GA (or maybe even Jax) line!

I started my own ficticious route so I could have some southern railroading. It will run from Plains to Abbeville Georgia. I am using the Heart of Georgia trackage with some slight modifications in order to add more industries. That way I can use Google overlays to lay track and real-world GPS coordinates for the cities. Probably have another year of work to complete.
By the way I was born and raised in West Palm Beach and believe me it is not part of the South. Just a suburb of New York City now.

WHAT?! Please tell me you are not serious...

Florida, is on the southeasternmost part of the the country, which West Palm Beach happens to be. New York is like a whole 1000+ miles up north, please tell me, how WPB isn't the South, and A Suburb of NYC?

Please Explain!

He means that a lot of retired people from NYC moved to Florida or Winter there. TIC:steamhappy:

Well, if it was put like that, then okay. I get it now, mostly. Folks I knewsome years ago dub Florida the "State of the Newly-Wed and the Nearly dead"

I would say, open the game, browse the shop there, filter for USA**. Depending on your taste, there are the following routes around the East (excuse me for mistakes, I don't have a map open):
- Baltimore & Ohio
- Northeast Corridor 3-4 parts (NEC, NY-NH, NJCL*, New Haven something)
- Miami to West Palm Beach
- Norfolk Southern Coal District (synergy with Horseshoe)
There are many trains to extend these. One curious one is the (higher priced) Chessie System GE loco. NY-NH comes with a nice set of commuter trains. If you happen to live in the US, you can get 2-4 further trains - CSX & NS reskins.

Have a visit at Railworks America. Last time I heard it's a great source.

* I know you mentioned.
** Canada is included under the USA filter.

But some US content can't be purchased in Canada.
It is a conundrum.

Yes, I would love the Atlanta-Chattanooga route(s) either Norfolk Southern or CSX routes. If they would do CSX's which is the old W&A they could have a General/Texas scenario and even have the Cedartown branch which splits off at Cartersville, Ga. out to the power plant for more scenario options for the branch, even the local all the way to Cedartown.

Ok the South is Norfolk Southern and CSX All Day Long. Miami? really I need more popular freight routes in NC, VA, TN, GA, SC Areas. With All The Historic Tunnels, and Bridges and Going Through Mountains. And Also The Cresant 19 and 20 from New Orleans to NYC is the Most famous and popular Amtrak Route,

Seems like every year Ohio and Penn are always featured. I am tired of theses routes. I mean can we get a DLC

All Areas of USA are featured except south...

Have you tried 3rd party?

I do find it a pretty big gap that nothing in the South/Southeast other than Florida has been made by Dovetail (and very few third-party workshop items either). If I were the designers, I'd start with Amtrak Crescent and then -- having built Atlanta for that route -- provide years of DLC with freight, MARTA, and nearby tourist railroads such as Stone Mountain Scenic Railroad.

This would also make a great trip or primary location for TSW.

I'm Merican and DEMAND USA ONLY!
If you want it, make it. The world does not revolve around team Merica!
