I am sure you have tried this but it is worth a shot. When you download the pack install it to a empty folder
I.e. Create a new folder on your desktop and install the packs to that then manually copy over geo files then drag and drop that folder into your raikworks folder
I have chap. I have said I have done this in my looong post above along with making my own .rwp file from the extracted exe :)
I looked into this a few days ago and nothing, from the Wherry Lines install wether it was the install itself or the extra stock has the class37.GeoPcDx file there. Or is it supposed to be copied there via the install procedure?
Ive already tried copying over the class37.GeoPcDx from the RED folder to no avail.
But, read on.
I have just installed the Wherry Lines 1.3 and the Extra Stock via the official .exes and I can say it does not add (in any manner) the class37.GeoPcDx file to the DRS-405/Engine or any of the other DRS/4s
Can you Mr Griffen confirm that you (or any Wherry Line owners) has the class37.GeoPcDx file in that folder that has definately been installed from the official WL and Extra pack downloads?
A few posts ago Growler said something that made me think so I manually added the class37.GeoPcDx file from the RED folder. So I did then, and also have just done now and it still does not add the 'skin'
The same problem occurs. No Class 37 skin.
By the way where are you seeing that I am missing a bin file?
Im asking because like I said the 2 RW tools pics only depict the scenarios in the route and the installed route assets (do they not?) I cant see in retrospect where I have shown anything that shows ANY missing filles, although I have asked (previously) ;)
It is still not clear to me wether I have used RW Tools correctly and wether I have even done the correct procedure to actually SHOW missing files :/
Edit. All adding the class37.GeoPcDx file to the DRS/4/ Engine folders (and other 37 engine folders that didnt have it in) was to give a pic to the listing in the consist builder and allow that engine to be enabled for consists which could be saved and played.
kjwcw, you are clearly way above my use and understanding of RW Tools and the files as they pertain so thanks for your input :)
Are there any references in the;
\Steam\SteamApps\common\RailWorks\Assets\RSC\SettleCarlisle\RailVehicles\Diesel\Class37\APWL\DRS-405\Engine, folder where I believe the AP extra stock files reside, including the supposed class37.GeoPcDx file?
Or is this what you said? Sorry if I am misunderstanding :)
Yes. The route should work fine, but doesnt.
Which missing assets or prerequisites were/are you referring to Growler?
Can I have your opinion based on my posts since your post here please? This customer has done all he can... but still sad to admit hes apparently the first to have troubles with the Wherry Lines Route :/
Do you see any file ommisions or anomalies in my folders?
Can I add more screenshots which would help the situation perhaps especially any RW Tools pics as Im still unsure as to where Im supposed to takes pics of pages with missing assets etc.
I think I have since proved (or perhaps not hopefully
So something is still wrong
I misunderstood your second screenshot near the top of this thread. To find out if any files are missing:
1. Load RW_Tools
2. Select Route Building Tools/Check Routes or Scenarios
3. Highlight the Wherry Lines route
4. Select the List Stock used by all scenarios button
(I presume this is where you took your screenshot)
5. Select the Check for Missing stock button
This will not show all missing files but will show missing components. It's a quick way to check that the prequisites and the route rail vehicles are present.
To find any missing files, go back to step 4, highlight the class 37 bin files and then select the Check selected stock for missing files button.
(Don't highlight all the stock - it will report any files that are packaged inside 'ap' files such as the class 90 as missing)
Yes I have the class37.GeoPcDx file inside the \Steam\SteamApps\common\RailWorks\Assets\RSC\SettleCarlisle\RailVehicles\Diesel\Class37\APWL\DRS-405\Engine, folder. That isn't where the extra stock resides though. The extra stock is installed into various locations but I don't think is relevant as to why the class37.GeoPcDx file is not inside the DRS-405\Engine folder.
I'm not sure how the GeoPcDx file is moved into the engine folder but I think there must be a script running during the installation which copies it over from one of the original class 37s. If you just manually install the Wherry Lines the GeoPcDx file will not be installed as it isn't included in the download.
Have you copied and pasted the GeoPcDx file from one of the other class 37 Engine folders into \Steam\SteamApps\common\RailWorks\Assets\RSC\SettleCarlisle\RailVehicles\Diesel\Class37\APW\DRS-405\Engine folder?
Hope this helps rather than causes any extra confusion.
Thanks for that info. I have installed the route and extras again via the proper install .exes and it still didnt deposit the GeoPcDx file, sadly. Also I have manually added it numerous times from the Red folder and still it fails to work.
Then I added the file from a TS install where the file resides in all 4x DRS\4 folders and the route DOES work, into the corresponding 4 folders and still nothing.
Maybe Ill just stick with the QDs as they are working fine until I get resolution.
Ill just check griffin115s advice with RW tools first.
In my previous pic as you mention I did fail to see the check missing stock button.
But I have followed your instructions above if you could look please.

Thanks for that griffin115. Is there anything further I can do to move forward?
Another twist - I dl a workshop scenario the other day and it called for the Class 37 from Wherry Lines. The cab interior was fine but there were NO outside textures, The GeoPcdx files were present, but I had to swap the loco with RW_Tools to get the exterior to show. Its a mystery.
Im not experienced enough to pull anything from that but its certainly highlights there appears to be some issues, at least for some.
Do you mean you just swapped to a different class 37 to get the exterior to show?
If RW_Tools showed no missing files, then all I can suggest is run the missing files process on the class 37s in the Settle to Carlisle route to see if there are any isssues there.
If no errors are reported, then it might be a permissions issue. I'd raise a help call with Armstrong Powerhouse to seek their advice.
