I also have over 2000 hours in FSX_SE and FSX combined. So yes, they are both fun.
For me anyways.
There is plenty of addons in the workshop, take a look.
Like flying, there are times when your just moving along with not much to do but look at scenery.
There are scenarios that keep you busy the whole trip. It's up to you how you play it.
If you drive easy, short routes it is relaxing, if you drive long, hard routes it is challenging and makes tired pretty fast.
But you cant do anything funny like with a plane, it is all on a rail and you cant just do a spin or loop or anything fun...thats why i think about buying fsx again, the dvd version dont works on my new win 10 computer -.-.
I am an avid flight simulation enthusiast as well - and like learning how to fly new aircraft correctly as well.
