They're extremely good, well worth a serious look at. Must be considered amongst the most advanced loco models available for the game. Very involved cold start-ups, nice detailing both with the interior and exterior modelling. And whilst I'm by no means a US loco expert, the physics seem to be extremely realistic (and this opionion is collaborated by many others, including true American loco enthusiasts). Their EMD GP40-2 CSX base pack is a really good starting point (a lovely loco) to get a good feel for the high quality of their TS add-ons.

You also have a distinct advantage of being based in the US, being able to purchase content directly from VRC's own online website. Whilst those of us outside the US are forced to purchase VRC's products through TaD at signficantly greater prices. Plus not all their collection is available via TaD; so I envy you the chance to buy all their models.

But the couple of diesel models of VRC that I have, have purchased have been a delight to drive. Their documentation is very good also. Americans claim that the support offered by the company is very good. Seems non US citizens are (shall we politely say) seen as a bit of an inconvenience. But definitely worth giving their content a try if you enjoy more immersive high detailed diesel locos. All the best, Al.

Thank you for your comments re: VRC. Though I would wish to in depth comment on your analogy to Mr. Trump and the “wall” I cannot and will not bring politics into these stellar and most courteous forums. I will only say that there are misconceptions regarding the reasoning on this issue and one must look deeper than the surface.

Glad the opinion on VRC content helpful. In not wishing to cause any offence to you personally (ref American politics) and keeep things civil have removed my brief ref to your likely Republican nominee. :)

No offence was taken. I do respect you and your opinions highly. You have helped me personally in the past and I hope, will in the future. It seems that lately the slightest provocation can instigate the most vitrolic comments on these pages. I think it wise to mitigate the causes of these instances.

I own the General Electric U30C Primary Pack, which was my first non-DTG purchase.
It exceeded my expectatons - very accurate perfomance and handling. Model is very good up close. I reccommend a purchase.

I'm extremely late to the party, but does anybody know where I can go to get the VRC stuff that WASN'T uploaded to the Steam Workshop? More specifically, I'm looking for the CSX Slug set that supposedly existed (was that made by VRC or DTM?) and the BN U30C, as well as learning if anything else was ever made.
