Changing trains
I have a free-roam scenario set-up, and it has several different engines located at different places. However, sometimes I cannot change to those trains, even though they are designated "Player" trains. The "service is aproaching" messages displays at certian times, but other times, I can be parked right next to them, and cannot "get in" them.

Is this a problem introduced with the latest version of TS2015 or something else?

If you're parked next to one you want to swap to, try clicking the globe on HUD or "8" free camera and use arrow keys to move around. Put your cursor on it and it should change to a "hand", click and you should be there. If it's a service approaching, click on the message box.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Pjohnanddlyns. I tried that...didn't work. I used to be able to 'play around" for hours on my Free-Roam scenarios. Switching trains at will. Now, I'm lucky to do it twice. I'll have to see if this is re-producable, or a glitch with that particular session.

EDIT:
Saddly, this happens every time. I've re-created the scenario, used different trains, ..ect. The "service aproaching" message pops up. But, unless I jump from my current train to the "new" one, that way, I cannot get in it. :( (I'm trying to park the train I'm in, before jumping to another one.)

Found your replay "strange", not being able to jump from one to another except via "pop up" box so I tried a free roam just to see what happens.
Used GWML and pre-programmed scenario. Picked Didcot as start point with HST west of station. 3 or 4 other locos in and around yards. Drove and stopped HST at Didcot P 4. Ignored pop up boxes.

At P4 went to camera view 1 then clicked globe icon on HUD. Travelled around area with arrow keys to try and get into another loco. No go.

Went back to HST camera 1 view then pressed "8" key. Hey presto! When I put mouse cursor on each loco it changed to a hand symbol so could go to any I wanted.

Which route are you using? If I have it I'll give it a try and see what happens.

John.

"Churchwood to Midland Junction." an old Contest Winner from RW days (I think, its been a while.) One of my favorites, to this day.

I will have to try your idea, and see if that works.

Thanks for the feedback, Pjohnandlyns.

EDIT: HEY! That worked! Thanks Pjohnandlyns! Thanks for the helps!

all the free roams / cloned routes I have occasionally wont let you swap trains, if all else fails save your progress exit to main menu resume the scenario and clck the globe you should then find you can move to another consist , alway put all controls and lights back to the parked settings brakes on 70% ish, in neutral , no throttle, lights off etc

Thanks Jaspersmonkeyspike.

I haven't had any issues lately, and I do try to put my trains into a "Parked" state, prior to moving to a new train.

Saving scares me. I used to love it.(I used to have a free-roam scenario, that I played for months at a time.), but since the "update" to 2015 the saves have been very, shall we say...inconsistant. :( So, I haven't saved/resumed a scenario since the update. :(

Very late but how can I select no trains? How can I exit from a train?
