picking up passengers

Hi. I'd like some help with my time at stations with a passenger servive. I open the doors and people board the train, but I always fail the scenario, with the message that I haven't collected passengers. What am I doing wrong?

Some stations where you stop, the marker isnt long enough or too short. If you bring up your briefing with F1 you sometimes notice a X next to a station even though you picked up passengers.
I would recommend saving the game (F2) after each succesful stop. Just check with F1 first that it did register as a good stop. Hope that makes sense.

If it's a "Career" scenario you are playing, then it may be that you are arriving late at the station for pick up. Arrival times are critical for these scenarios.

Look at the required arrival time at the bottom left of the HUD display (or press F1 and look there). It will say something like "Pick up passengers at X station @ 09.15.30 hrs". If you arrive at 09.16 or later the pick up will fail.

Thanks very much to you both. Both of you hit on things I was doing wrong. I'm still not very good, butI only missed two stations before I accidently switched the points and had a head-on collision/derailment. Tons of fun! I can only imagine the headlines. Thanks again...
