Are We Now Pretneding To Know What Rival Schools and Power Stone Are?
I find it funny that FGC YouTubers are pretending to know what Rival Schools and Power Stone are. I know almost all of you never played or heard of those games. The people who pretend to know can't even name 3 characters from those games. You're not cool for playing those games. I've played Breakers Revenge but you don't see me saying "LOOK, I'VE PLAYED BREAKERS REVENGE, I LIKE THAT IT'S COMING BACK" Seriously, just admit you've never heard of Rival Schools or Power Stone

When I was already competing at the 燃えろ ("Rival Schools? What's that?") tourneys (first, then 熱血青春日記, then third) at a professional level and was hosting Power Stone 2 events (with prizes) on the Dreamcast, 82% of this board very likely weren't even been born yet.:THE_WIND_MASTER:

If you're trying to bait a thousand people into claiming they're 112 years old and played every Capcom game made, then great I guess ?

Eh, Power Stone 2 specifically, always was, always is, and always will be superior on the Dreamcast. It's basically flawless. Some like those PSP ports or later re-releases, but DC is where the competitive scene for it was always at. It's pretty much the same as the arcade Ehrgeiz VS it's PSOne upgrade. Yes, Ohnuki/Nuki competed in the vanilla arcade Ehrgeiz and won official promotional championship of it, but it's PSOne port is just so much fuller and way better polished (INB4: yes, I know that there's technically "world map" in the arcade, which provides "logical sense" for the progression of the stages and has flavor lore text that explains things, but, nevertheless, PSOne's port still has way more content and plays much smoother, looks better). Other comparison that can be made, is arcade Tekken 3 VS PSOne.

The arcade version is based on the Dreamcast, so they're the same versions
They're not same. As in - they're not 100% 1-to-1 identical. Dreamcast port is better, richer.
Also, "arcade based on Dreamcast" is hilarious misconstruction. Naomi's Power Stone 2 was released in April as well, but it was BEFORE (earlier than) April 27-th release of the DC port.

They had almost a full month to improve it further (polish, bug test, QA, etc), which they did.
Naomi experience is still good, but it's not as solid and literally flawless as Dreamcast's one.

It's like implying or straight up stating that arcade SoulCalibur is identical to console ones.:FLAME_CHRIS:
And don't even start with me on the entire "arcade Virtua Fighter vs later console/PC ports".

Console ports suck. It's like playing a bootleg version. If you don't understand what make the arcade versions better, you're a normie

Go try spouting that uneducated inexperienced scrubster bollocks towards Virtua Fighter, any of the Guilty Gears ever (minus the very first GG or Sоуve, obviously), Soul Edge and SoulCalibur, Tekken, and dozens of series/titles more. You're dropping the ball hard here.

One of the most nonsensically bizarre wrongtakes I've seen here thus far. You literally don't know jack F all about any of this, which is very evident now. Unlike you, I've experienced it.
you don't understand what make the arcade versions better
Reading comprehension is really not one of your fortes, it seems. Arcades are almost never "better" than later upgraded ports. There are a few "exceptions" (prime examples of "arcade version is better": OG MK trio+UMK, vanilla arcade Chaos Breaker is way better than it's later "Dark Awake" port, arcade Primal Rage was also better), but the general rule is that first/2nd arcade release is barebones milquetoast experience with myriads of problems ranging from sound to graphics, balance, performance and stability. Majority of which gets fixed LATER.:fhammer:

And that's while not even mentioning that arcade releases in general usually have way less content (less stages, less playable characters, etc) than later builds. Entire history of SF II, lul.

Never ever dare to @ at me any in regards to these things. I've started my professional FGC career at the arcades in 1996, spare me any of that lame BS of yours, please. Stop self-lying.

Wow, look how cool you are. Too bad none of the strawmen you mentioned came to your party.

Same age here. Won't claim to have played em when they came out but I darn sure remember seeing them in the game rags at the time. EGM and especially import issues of Computer and Video Games from the UK. Probably EGM2

gnore the author of this post; he's disconnected from reality and completely ignorant. They're only here to try to make the collection a failure for reasons I don't understand, but the trick is going badly for them, and all their attempts are going to be useless.

OP is either some edgy zoomer pretending to have the gaming experience of a millennial... or he's a millennial with the mind of a child and overly concerned with what other people enjoy/do with their time and if they've "proved themselves" as being a true gamer and not a "normie" (kiddy 4chan lingo).

They're both just as embarrassing as each other.
