For AMD GPU Users, does Hypr-RX work?
Title. Wondering if anyone with a AMD card has tried Hypr-rx yet, and can confirm that it works. Mostly wanting to use it as a place holder until they decide whether to implement FSR 2 or 3, or until a FSR 3 mod is out and more available and stable.

Update:

For those curious, who don't know... I went ahead and tested it, and it does indeed work. It's not as good as FSR 3, but it's an OKAY place holder until FSR 3 mods mature or the devs add it in.
Aside from that, make sure you load the game with the option of NOT using the Anti-cheat. I have no idea if HYPR-RX is supported in multiplayer or not, but it's best to assume it's not.

This is for those with a AMD GPU. Nvidia wise, someone else will need to test, as I haven't owned a Nvidia GPU for about 5 years now.

So many errors that cause the game to crash, i have gotten more longevity turning it all off for now. nVidia 3070ti is just as bad as my AMD 6950xt. Kinda pointless for me to play ASA when the main reason to switch engines was the enhanced graphics.

While beautiful, i get tired of losing progress to crashes, let alone the garbage servers provided by Nicrapo.

Until WC pulls there heads out of there butts, i will keep testing weekly, but i got other games that look amazing that are optimized and run amazing on my system.

After figuring out it was my mods in the wrong order, and getting it all situated, I haven't crashed since. But, maybe that's just me, for now? I also haven't been playing longterm, as I'm still testing mods on seeing what works and what doesn't with what I want. There could end up a Memory Leak somewhere like ASE has/had.

Memory leak for sure, the longer you play the more likely the inventory crash, the roaring sound crash, the dimorph scream crash, the underwater view crash, the building to much at one time crash, the too many tames in one spot crash.

Sadly they ruined a great 80s song by Prince... Purplerain has a whole new meaning for me now.

How many mods you got going ? it could be the 3 dino mods i DLed could be one of the reasons i get crashes.... but umm all the others i listed above is just the tip of the purplerain iceberg.

I've got around 50? Maybe slightly more or slightly less. Had to read each one to make sure there weren't any load order requirements, and I had a few that did. There's one I'm using that requires you to load it before all other mods that add creatures.
I also had to use the steam launch command "-precenthibernation" to get them all working as well (as far as creature mods go). But it's all working now, and I'm just now able to start an actual single player game. ^_^ Really excited about the Human one I found that places Human NPCs throughout the island.

Has Wildcard or Snail games acknowledged anywhere that they are aware of this Video Memory crash as its got to a point my game is unplayable untill they fix it. And i only have around 10 mods.

I don't think so.
It's not crashing or anything but it doesn't seem to do anything

i have a 7900xtx i run with hyper rx however my monitor is 5120x1440p so it does not upscale a lower resolution with game settings on a mix of high and epic i get 60 fps if i turn volumetric clouds and fog off i average 100fps i only crash when i oc my card past 2800mhz

My current setup is a Ryzen 9 3900X and RX 6900XT. I use Fluid Motion Frames in ASA and it actually made the game playable. With FMF 2.1 on I also set Search Mode to high and performance mode to quality. I play games at 3840x2160, ASA included. However in ASA even with in-game graphics quality sliders set to low and screen resolution scale turned down to 60% I was still only averaging around 45-50 fps. With FMF turned on I now get 170 - 200 fps with graphics sliders set to high or ultra. ZERO reduction in graphical and visual quality while providing 3x or even 4x the performance. It's not just Ark, ALL my games are running 2x -5x better in terms of frame rate and overall performance. The difference is honestly insane. I would HIGHLY recommend FMF to anyone with an AMD GPU that supports it. FSR is nice, helps anywhere from a little to moderately, but not all games support it. FMF makes FSR redundant. No need for FSR at all anymore.

I would also like to note that while AMD warns FMF will increase hardware input latency and using FMF automatically turns on Radeon Anti-Lag, I have had zero issues with keyboard or mouse lag.

You must not have it setup correctly or maybe your hardware doesn't support it. FMF definitely increases FPS big time.

or maybe you replied to a post over a year-old and assumed nothing changed

For future reference, AMD's Adrenaline program has tons of settings to toy with, and they all allowed me to get excellent performance out of Ascended very early on when everyone else was crashing and sub 20 fps. However, with the performance patch maybe 6 months ago or whatever, they all stopped working as well as the built in features. Upscaling is best achieved within game (indeed i wasn't even able to get it to function anymore). Frame gen cannot be turned off by any means, so no point using it through GPU program. And that's it. Best performance is achieved by turning OFF Adrenaline settings (i.e. not turning any of the features on for Ark) and using whatever upscaling you need through Ark's menu options. Sitting pretty at 45+ fps now (everything max with slight upscaling to 4k).

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
