It has been pulled. The demo was available during Steam Next Fest, which ended roughly two hours ago.

I kinda dislike when games do this. Not gonna lie kinda removed a bit my interest in the game.
instead of being able to try out a demo and wishisting it , I will probably not remember it anymore

That was incredibly stupid idea of canceling a demo. Ok, so long.
How to fix the missing license error:
Go to gbe_fork[github.com]
Download
emu-win-release.7z
Download 7zip if you don't have it or something else that can extract 7z files
Extract it to a new folder, I extracted it to e:\tools\gbe_fork
Open
steamapps\common\Epic NPC Man Nice Day for Fishing Demo\NiceDayForFishing_Data\Plugins\x86_64
in one explorer window
Open
gbe_fork\tools\generate_interfaces
in another window
Drag
steam_api64.dll
onto
generate_interfaces_x64.exe
Rename
steam_api64.dll
to
steam_api64.dll.bak
Navigate to folder
gbe_fork\regular\x64
Drag the new
steam_api64.dll
into the x86_64 folder where the old one was
Navigate up to
steamapps\common\Epic NPC Man Nice Day for Fishing Demo
and run
NiceDayForFishing.exe
It should work, but your saved game will be missing
Exit the game
Open the folder
%appdata%\..\LocalLow\FusionPlay\Nice Day For Fishing Demo
Copy the
savegame
file from the numbered folder that has it to the numbered folder that doesn't have it. Also, make a backup copy of it while you're here, since the demo automatically deletes your savegame when you win the demo.
Run
NiceDayForFishing.exe
again, this time it should have the Continue option, and everything should work.
I don't understand why they'd pull this on us
Just as I was really enjoying the demo and trying to speed run it or even get to a higher level ( was nearly at 17 )
This is the most fun I've had with a demo and has been a game I'm excited to play
