Game Length?
I'm considering this game and I've seen people complain about the length. Can someone give me a rough estimate around when this game ends?

I completely explored and did everything the game had to offer and it took me about 6 hours.

Im pretty sure you played need for speed. Because you raced this game like hell. Nice job ruining the story not reading the notes.

im about 4 hours into the game and not yet done but yet i feel im close to the games ending, and i have been pacing myself to explore a bit and look around as much as i can but it feels a bit more closed where things are more locked preventing exploring the whole house in the start

i feel that this game is indeed shorter, thats not to say i havent been enjoying the game but as of now though im hoping the game will be longer

ow.seems kind of depressing for a standalone game....IM getting the impression this game was built to be like a dlc...

Ah well that baffles me because I could only take off half an hour for a few times I had to double back a tiny amount to turn something on or mess with something. I tend to explore and get the whole picture before I randomly throw switches or do things that do not yet have context :)

I think that about sums up why some people beat it in 2 hours. If you don't explore and take in the world the way it was meant to be played then....yeah I still have absolutely no idea how anyone beat this in under 4 hours.

No sir I did everything there was to do in the game and completed in under 3 hours. I really hate people like you who go with the stupid "you ruined it for yourself" argument. You have no idea how the person played the game. I was checking everything and read every note and even took a bit of time to stare at some stuff. Still 3 hours.

Sorry you didn't like it, apparently it's not for everyone :)

I think the trouble you people who got through it in 3 hours are having is that you haven't been allotting the proper cowering time. If you spend a normal amount of time paralyzed in fear then that'll add on a good hour at least. More if you're particularly cowardly.

Where did I say I didn't like it? (you might get that impression if you read my other posts here). Stop making assumptions about other people dude.

There's nothing to be afraid of. The enemy encounters are simple crap. In TDD I hid and waited quite a few times but in AMFP I had to wait 10 seconds once or twice for an enemy to move and the other encounters I simply ran past them.

I've you've played a lot of games like these its really not that hard to blast through them even when exploring. I made sure to check every nook and cranny, trying to make sure to take alternate paths before moving on, and trying to find every single note. Even doing all that, the game is painfully linear and the puzzles really don't take a lot of work to figure out.
