Amnesia: Machine For Pigs Crashes!

Hey everyone, so i got this game, and everytime i try launching it, it crashed right away without even going to the menu, nothing. I have a computer with a AMD A6-3650 processor, AMD Radeon HD 6530D Graphic, 8Gb RAM, and i'm using Windows 8. Anyone knows how to fix this?

Did you verify file contents? Upgraded driver? Upgrade direct x? Was it an Access violation error?

yes, i did all that. And no, it was not an access violation error, it immediatly says aamfp.exe stopped working...

If you have a gamepad connected to PC try disconnecting it.

i believe im getting same error on win 8 pro 64 bit..i5 with hd4000 on surface pro. might be driver issue. ill update to latest intel generic driver to see if it fixes it.

no, i don't have a gamepad connected. Thanks a lot for the link, i'm gonna try to restart my computer...

Try this. Open hard drive then program x86 files then click steam apps, then click common and into a machine for pigs and right click the AAMFP application and run it as administrator. It should work then. If it doesn't work I might have another solution.

There was no error code, it just says "aamfp.exe has stopped working"

i think its driver related. updated to latest generic and the game now boots up to that gamma selection screen. so i think microsoft custom drivers caused it to fail. damn, i have to go to work, no time to mess around with it more. will try to pllay after work

Try this then. Goto control panel and click on User Accounts and Family Safety, then click User Accounts, then click Change user account control settings and move the meter down to never notify. If this doesn't work then I don't know.
