Screen Tearing?
The screen tearing is really, REALLY bad, even with V-sync on. I usually don't notice screen tearing, but it's just so distracting.

I fixed it with vsync in the nvidia cp but now anytime it drops below 60 (all the time) it feels like it's going into slomo. Ugh.

What did you do to exactly, i get a ever so slighlt tearing, more like a shake when i turn around on the scenery etc.

From what I have read, if the in-game setting for vsync isn't good enough, open up the Nvidia control panel, go to application specific settings and enable triple-buffering vsync. It will give a bigger performance hit I think, but it apparently fixes it a lot better. Hope that helps :)

Oh forgot to mention - should be similar settings under Catalyst Control Center if you have an AMD card, I just don't so I can't give better instructions lol

If you have an Nvidia card, you might also try turning on Adaptive v-sync in the control panel. Eliminated tearing for me.

That feel when you have a 144hz G-sync monitor and you don't remember how disgusting screen tearing is and how nasty 60hz monitors are.

Hello chris,

We’re working on solving issues some of you are experiencing with Dying Light.
You can help us fix them faster! Just create a Dxdiag file and send it together with your Logs files
to piotr.leusz@techland.pl.

How to do it:

1. Create a Dxdiag file. Read how here: http://en.support.techland.pl/support/solutions/articles/4000042573-creating-dxdiag-file
2. Copy all your Logs files. You can find them on your computer in: My Documents\dyinglight\out\logs\
3. Copy all your Dumps files. You can find them on your computer in: steam\steamapps\common\Dying Light\dumps\

4. Attach all these files and SEND WITH YOUR STEAM PROFILE NAME AND TOPIC'S URL. !!!

5. Send it to: piotr.leusz@techland.pl

This will help us immensely in fixing the issues you may have.
Depleated, thats exactly how I feel. I dont know why tearing is even a thing when I obviously can't get to 144 fps, and I have a 144 fps moniter.

Guess they never fixed this, game has the worst tearing of all the games I have played in the last few years. Nothing fixes it fully.

The suggestion of adaptive vsync fixed this issue perfectly for me at least.
Now I have no tearing whatsoever.

yep adaptive is what I use too, no issue

also if your monitor supports Trace Free, that helps a big deal too with eliminating screen tearing, my Asus VG248QE has it and I have it set to 80%
