Nvdia Gameworks strikes again
Seriously they need to stop doing this crap, I shouldn't have to go out and buy a nvidia card just to play the game fine. Glad I got to test before I pay anything. You dont need super computers to run games on max these days with current tech advancements that we have. Just a case of badly optimized I am guessing and will be patched but this is minor stuff that should have been fixed before release.
Its sad that its easier to get a console these days just to play without worrying about petty things like Nvidia gameworks or the AMD one.

Then get a console bro. Nvidia master race :p

@OP
Unfortunately, you are right, I guess devs receive $$$ to include this crap on thier games and intentionally cripple performance for AMD users, even if they don't get $$$ from nGreedia, they still intentionally cripple performance for AMD users when using Gameworks.

I'll gladly wait for this game to be bundled, that's Gameworks products are worth anyway, I'm not on PC to support software/hardware exclusivity, I would be on consoles if I liked that.

Yeah, sure, more like, nGreedia cons the master race

It is indeed a great card.

Agreed. If my GeForce 256 can't run Dying Light, then it's just a case of poor optimisation and not that inadequate hardware inevitably falls by the wayside after a time.
After all 'tech advances' means that I should even be able to run it on my just recently replaced rig that had a Voodoo card.

AMD GPU's can do every nVidia feature except PhysX BUT AMD CPU's can do PhysX. Even thought X1/PS4 use AMD APU's, because AMD CPU's can do PhysX, AMD and nVidia reached an agreement to allow PhysX support on X1/PS4 if a dev so chooses since AMD CPU's can do PhysX.

Both the PCSS and DoF nVidia features can be done just fine on AMD GPU's. Only PhysX can AMD GPU's not use.

SLI 770 4GB + i7 3770 @ 3.8Ghz + 32GB RAM

HBAO+ actually gives me a boost ( 60% to 56% )
Nvidia Depth of Field is badly implemented ( very ): both cards go from 56% ( maxed out except for view distance @ 50% ) to 82% with it ON... There is still depth of field in the cutscenes with it off anyway...

BTW, the CPU "trick" consisting of changing the Dyinglight.exe to "high" is working for me and gives me a more stable/fluid framerate.

"Got to test a copy", you mean you downloaded a pirate version; it did not work properly now you are here to whine. You do not need an nvidia card to play this game, but I would suggest trying a legal copy before whining your 5 year old pos won’t run it.

CPU's can do physx, but it's slow as hell.

Sure, if we completely ignore all the petty ♥♥♥♥ Sony and Microsoft pull. Exclusives alone are worse than this proprietary tech nonsense from Nvidia and AMD.

Never had an issue with my GTX 680, maybe you should stop investing in a company that can no longer compete?
MAG Jan 27, 2015 @ 8:10am
Am I the only AMD user who isn't having an Issue?
