Weird robot sound?
After playing for like 10-20 minutes i allways start getting a sound bug that makes everything sounds laggy and metallic, sort of like slowmo robot voices... first only voices then all sound in generall? Any help?

Same here. Usually, that is an indicator for *extremely* bad performance (happens with some engines/games at <5FPS) or even system overheating. Though here it is apparently a bug related to the overal performance issues people are having. Started when I went down the tower.
i'm getting it when i drop below 60-70 fps

I was getting slowmo audio as well in the menu screen. I have not entered the world yet so cant comment on that. Someone recommended playing in 5.1 not 7.1 surround. Havent tested this out yet but it was a recommendation. I am using a
Sonar D2X 32bit

I am stable around 60 fps even when this occurs, then the sound suddenly starts working normally after like 5-10 minutes, just really annoying.

Otherwise the game works well for me, the sound problem started in the tower and seems to be happening at regular intervals and does not seem to be peformance related (atleast for me).

It makes the game nearly unplayable with sound when it happens, give me instant headache.

Been mostly playing with 2.1 sound but tried 5.1 and 7.1 which did not make a difference.

Quiting to the menu then entering the game dosen't make it better as it still persists, the only way to remove it instantly is to exit to desktop and restart it...

Anyway, write if you got any tips or other general info :)

I'm also getting this issue.

At first I thought it was something to do with fps drops but it seems to happen seemingly at random.
It's very annoying and makes the game almost unplayable.

However I've found a temporary work-around that appears to work most of the time.
Simply replugging the audio cable seems to fix it.

Got the same issue here, only running on 2.0 (stereo sound). No fps issues though.
My onboard audio chip is from realtek.
Are there any options to config sound ingame? I can only adjust volume...

Sounds like some sort of memory leak...

I have the same issue, FPS wise is silky smooth (4770k & 780tI) rather annoying though.

I set the sound device to 16bit 192kHz (control panel, sound device, advanced), this stopped it for me. It's wierd that this is needed because it's useally something that you need to do with older games.

-edit-
I had it on 24 bit before

Nice, thanks.

This works for me as well.

Sadly this didn't work for me.

Still getting the slow-mo audio.
I sure hope they fix this issue along with the optimization and don't just ignore it, it's making playing the game terrible.

Thats too bad. I checked the two radio buttons as well beneath in the exclusive section. Otherwise I simply have an onboard Realtek audio chip, nothing special.

I get the same thing sometimes as well! Everything sounds slow mo for afew minutes in some areas, the sound goes all glitchy and robotic then it just... goes away just as randomly, a restart of the game helps but it seems to come back.

Really hope they fix it, never had it happen in a game before. =/ It does ruin the game experiance quiet abit when it happens yea.

I have a Realtek audio chip as well, if anyone is curious about that.

Like everyone else im hoping it's fixed along with a much needed performance patch, the game does seem to slow down alittle bit when the slow mo sound happens but only for things like character animations, it's very weird and unpredictable.

Hello everyone,

We’re working on solving issues some of you are experiencing with Dying Light.
You can help us fix them faster! Just create a Dxdiag file and send it together with your Logs files
to piotr.leusz@techland.pl.

How to do it:

1. Create a Dxdiag file. Read how here: http://en.support.techland.pl/support/solutions/articles/4000042573-creating-dxdiag-file
2. Copy all your Logs files. You can find them on your computer in: My Documents\dyinglight\out\logs\
3. Attach all these files and SEND WITH YOUR STEAM PROFILE NAME AND TOPIC'S URL.
4. Send it to: piotr.leusz@techland.pl

This will help us immensely in fixing the issues you may have.

It's the sound of the developers laughing at you because you bought an unfinished game.
