Map size?

So, don't get me wrong, I've been following this game for a long time, but the map doesn't look that big? Am I missing something?

Someone said that the game is divided in 4 maps. The video probably just showed one of them.

Okay, that's what I thought. Because he wss running around in the slums, and I've seen like city game play

The devs 2 hour game play vid explains how big the game is, if I remember correctly they are also refering to the fact that the game covers multiple platform levels... which dead island could not.

You can go into almost any building... jump on roofs... climb walls... you know monkey stuff...

the map has multiple parts/sections revealed by the devs on a live stream because they were in old town and in the demos it was in the slums area

Keep in mind, map size doesn't equate to how enjoyable exploring the map will be...even in Dead Island, some maps were a slog because of meaningless or copy+paste space. But yeah, the devs have said in gameplay that it's much bigger than Dead Island was. There are also two different zones that I know of so far, which are slums and oldtown. Oldtown seems big, not unmanageably but it does take time to travel based on missions.

The slums and old town in reference to that video... are counted as different areas and also given different locational comparisons to dead island

3 different zones... this might include the dlc however.

Also dead island as they reference did have some jumping aspects however they were programmed and placed on purpose... With this game you can literally do anything and go anywhere. Other then drive i suspect.

I had the game since friday for ps4. the slums map is not the only map you have, you go to a city later. also the game is 50hours plus from what the devss said. i spent 15 hours already just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around, and haven't even scratched the story. If you loved dead island, this will be 10x better.
