All you need to know about Pre-Order Bonus!

Hello there Veterans and Newbies!
I'm here to teach or tell you what and how the game plays with and without Pre-order Bonuses!

Let's Start with the "Become a Zombie" Bonus!

Q)Is this bonus special mode or Similiar like that?

A) Not sure how to really call this since begin a zombie is purely made for joking around with friends as a bonus for Pre-ordering.
From main-menu you get to choose to invade and or hunt a friend or a random person that plays the campaign, Yes the Normal Story Campaign!

Q)How does the Zombie work?

A) You get to control a special zombie type into their game, but instead of an AI controlling it, you control it instead.

Q) Is the zombie overpowered on Human Hands?

A) No, as shown on the videos, the zombies' flash burns if light pointed at him and he can respawn unlimited times until humans destroy the hives on the map, humans have 6 lives!

Q)What if i don't have the Bonus Zombie?

A)If you do not have the Pre-order bonus then you'll not be able to Invade or hunt your friends or random people at night, however People that do own the Bonus from pre-order can join your game and hunt you down, without you having the Pre-order bonus!

Q)What if I don't want to be invaded by a zombie?

A)You can Disable it from Options menu!



Something extra to point out, There is a very high chance that you'll be able to purchase both of the DLC after release, but with an extra cost, You do get them for free if pre-ordered!



Now it's the Yellow Crowbar!

Q) What is this Crowbar thingy, is it overpowered?

A) No, this Crowbar is not overpowered and instead it's very balanced Crowbar, Pre-orders will get the blueprint to craft this Crowbar in-game!

Hope this helped most of you and did answer most of the questions about the Zombie Bonus DLC :)

I might pre-order but honestly, the play-as-an-infected is something that should be available to everyone. That's a really fun and unique aspect of the game that's going to slowly die out as the game ages and that's not cool.

Instead, for pre-order bonus, I'd rather have unique looking clothing and/or another unique weapon that's balanced.

Please reconsider the play-as-an-infected being a pre-order bonus and instead give it to everyone. It'll make the game much more fun for everyone.

Pre-order Dying Light to receive the special Be The Zombie Game Mode! Be the Zombie is a PvP game mode...

So it IS a game mode, an entire one taken out for pre-orders.
Thats a great way to build customer relations: just cater to your richer customers

Well of course you don't, its a pvp mode. I'm not entirely sure what you point is, the more different it is from normal play, the more clearly it is a different game mode.

I do pre-order most of the games, but i do not pre-order games that are not good of course!
And i do have a choice of refund until the release date, and it's just one click away of doing so!
And i am only answering questions not to make people buy or not buy the game :)

On my point of view on how i look the be the zombie thing is very different, i have played over 350 different games, and i think i can notice the bad and good thing!
The way i look at this is i am a zombie with no rules to follow, i could just sit there and stalk them or attack them of course, but i know that humans are doing the missions just as i am not there with them! that's it :)

thing is, whether its a true game mode or not - since the devs call it that I will too - to take it away from people just because they wont pre-order is almost like a punishment instead of an incentive - it just rubs me the wrong way

I really wanted to buy this... probably more than most. I'm a fanatic when it comes to zombies. But the $60 price tag with exclusive garbage like limiting a character/game mode... made it a no sale for me.

Let's not kid ourselves... this is a copy/remake of Dead Island in an urban setting. Almost everything I've seen in gameplay is EXACTLY the same as Dead Island. The way it feels, the way it plays, the interactions, the weapons, combat, everything.

That's not to say it's terrible. But Dead Island was a let down for me. But the devs went too far with this crap this time around and lost a sale for me.

I'll wait until it gets at least a 25% discount or maybe even a bargain bin drop before I buy it.

I've heard it discussed (been following the game since day one)... and it's not the primary reason for me not buying it now. Just one of the issues I have with this marketing approach. They're going to see a very negative response in their pre-orders... I guarantee it.
