Picking mushrooms in the cave

I'm old and not so good at games (so my son says)...how do I reach the last crop of mushrooms high up in the cave?...I picked most of the shrooms...but then spent all night trying to reach the last crop...suddenly...'night survived' pops up and the night zombies come into the cave and thats the end of me lol....awesome game btw

get grappling hook. you will feel much younger with it. i can't tell you how to reach it the conventional way cause i already got it on that quest. but i'm sure there is a youtube vid for it.

In case you don't know yet, to avoid waiting for the night again, you may skip the day time, just sleeping in a safe area until the night comes. Then just go back to the cave for the last ones...

If you just swam in stand at the loot chests turn around and face the water look to the back right corner area and there's a bit of a ledge to climb up on then hop up the next couple until you reach it, I think that might be the one you're wanting.

I did that mission in the day(I find it harder going to missions at night), once the volatiles go down the others are easier and neither can get you in the water I took 1 death but then it was harder to find all the mushrooms.

Get the grappling hook before doing this, to make this trivial. It is possible to farm free and safe survivor experience from permanent air drop sites. There are three underwater airdrop locations, which respawn a drop each day. One of them is just at the entrance to that cave. See my guide for the locations of the other two.

P.s. quite old too, so playing this with wily and unfair tactics.
