Exception code: 3221225477 (0xc0000005) Game Crash
Hi

Game seems to run fine for any period of time and then suddenly I get the message that it has stopped working. I look for a log and find this.....

This happens reasonably often and prior to this the game runs great with really good performance. Not sure what is going on there.

There is also a dump file but I can't seem to find a viewer which will read that.

Any ideas from what I have posted or has anyone had something similar happen....?

check this out before:

As a rule, you get the 0xc0000005 error message when you try to start one of your programs in windows or install software. the program terminates with the 0xc0000005 message and you cant get it work.

the most typical causes for the 0xc0000005: access violation, like malware, trojans etcetc
damaged system files, corrupt registry, faulty RAM, ""faulty drivers""", incorretly written, installed or updated software and even windows secure features.

I beleive it has to do with driver problems, i got DLL-Files Fixer myself and have yet to have any problems with my DLLs
Thanks for the pointers, it gives me something to look at. It is just very frustrating as all my other Steam games (and others) play without issue - but that doesn't, of course, help this game.

As Omar would say (from The Wire) "A huntin' we will go......."
The exact same thing happens to me, its infuriating. Any solution would be really helpful
Hello everyone,

We’re working on solving issues some of you are experiencing with Dying Light.
You can help us fix them faster! Just create a Dxdiag file and send it together with your Logs and Dumps files
to piotr.leusz@techland.pl.

How to do it:

1. Create a Dxdiag file. Read how here: http://en.support.techland.pl/support/solutions/articles/4000042573-creating-dxdiag-file
2. Copy all your Logs files. You can find them on your computer in: My Documents\dyinglight\out\logs\
3. Copy all your Dumps files. You can find them on your computer in: steam\steamapps\common\Dying Light\dumps\
4. Attach all these files and SEND WITH YOUR STEAM PROFILE NAME AND TOPIC'S URL. !!!
5. Send it to: piotr.leusz@techland.pl

This will help us immensely in fixing the issues you may have.
That log looks exaclty like a crash that is caused by a mod. If you are running any mods, remove them. Go to your Dying Light game folder and then open the DW folder. If you see a data3 file, delete it "its totally safe to remove". If you feel uneasy to delete it, just back it up into another folder if you want to see how your game will run without it.. You can also verify your game files through Steam to return your game to its default state.
For me it seems that the issues were caused by the Mod Manager mod. Since I stopped using it the game has been perfect.
