How do you throw a weapon?
Looked all over google and through the control menu but i cannot figure it out. I mean the weapon you are using not the stars ect.

Ah, it's actually part of a skill tree that you might not have yet.

Once you buy that skill, you hold right mouse button to draw and then click left to throw. Release right MB to cancel throw.

Very useful skill, lets you look at the watch :D

SUGGESTION: don't throw weapons you like. I've lost some good ones.

You can pick up weapons you have thrown. Just don't throw them in places you may not be able to get to easily.

PiTTnj is right, the weapons sometimes dissapear. In most cases (if it's a bladed weapon) it will be in the victim, but I had cases where blunt weapons just dissapear after being thrown.
It's and old engine bug, already present in Dead Island.

We should be able to retrieve thrown stars from the bodies. Not exploding or burning stars but plain stars should be imbedded in the body and retrievable --- but they aren't.

Yeah well then you can also argue that a gas pipe should not break after hitting a zombie 10 times in the belly, right?

Yes, Stu, I agree. I think the weapons are ridiculously fragile. Makes no sense at all. The pipe should NEVER break. Maybe bend but not break. Totally unrealistic. But the entire environment is unrealistic. That same pipe that caved in the heads of six zombies will not break a glass window either --- except for certain ones. Many elements are totally unrealistic. My toon can hold his breath under water for several minutes, too.

To consider he's probably a highly-trained individual needing great stamina to be sent on a mission like this, that doesn't seem so unrealistic to me. Even normal people like you and me on average can hold their breath for longer than a minute

I find it much more realistic than those games where you can only sprint for 10 seconds or hold your breath while aiming for 5 seconds

To be honest I've never had thrown melee weapons dissappear, and I throw them on regular occassions. Perhaps the people missed a target and the weapon got under a car, off a bridge or whatever

I happened to me a couple of times, like I said, with blunt weapons like hammers - these will bounce off target and fall to the ground. I lost 3-4 fully upgraded orange weapons that way, but since I stopped using blunt weapons, I haven't seen it for a while.
