People are... too scared for multiplayer?
I can understand someone who turns off their invasions setting because they don't want to be interrupted, but, when they have it on public and immediately decline a match because they're too scared... It's really annoying! I'm sitting here for like 10 minutes going through countless of servers because people quit immediately. Once I finally do get a match, after I kill them maybe twice or so they quit because they're mad or something.

I think that people need more incentive to play as the hunter AND play against the hunter. There need to be obstacle courses for hunters to test thier skills and earn medals in time trails. There needs to be human vs human pvp as well. Hell, maybe even a zombie vs zombie match to see who can eat the most human-pie in 5 minutes by playing the QTE game like the(spoiler) final boss of the game. I also think there needs to be more outfits for the hunter, I want to wear Jade's face and have the body of a Bomber....lol...

dude, thats because of 2 things, first, most of them find it unbalanced, cuz they dont know how to fight of Hunters. I once invaded someone who didnt even knew he could burn me with his UV light....
and yeah, he was max lvl with everything
and the other, they dont want to be distractet. the most stupid thing bout an invasion is that u cannot go on with your mission, u have to go to that stupid Hive and kill the hunters breed. ur in the middle of a mission, and then u have to run to the other end of the map cuz of an invasion.

im now at lvl 19 hunter, and i can tell u that with 10 mins waiting for a game, ur good in time, i normally get 2 guys leaving when i join them, and somewhat between 12-(infinite number) games i cannot Invade because someone else invaded a split second bevore me. that leaves me with about 1 playable game all 20 mins, which means im (rage) quitting after 3 games cuz it ♥♥♥♥♥ me off...

... But there's literally a tutorial that opens up before you go for zombie matchmaking. If people are just that lazy then that's their fault :l

And IMO, the humans are WAAAAYYY more OP than the zombies. If people know how to play them anyway.

Personally, the Be The Zombie mode was never really something that interested me. This game shines in single player or co-op much in the same way Left 4 Dead does. On that note, I never really cared for the versus mode in that either. I work a 12-14 hour day, the last thing I want after that is some asshat screaming down the microphone in a competitive game. Not that everybody does that, but let's face it, many do. To each their own I suppose.

In fact there might not even be voice chat. Couldn't tell you.

As Blubber said, there are reasons for not wanting to open your game for invasion.

I don't because I don't PvP. I have no interest in PvP.

I do open my game up as Public sometimes in the forlorn hope that one day someone will actually join my game and genuinely want to coop a mission or two and not just molotov every other player for ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles.

Why do you assume it's because they're "too scared." You have NO idea why someone might decline a match. Let's be honest, your post is a very lame attempt at boosting your own ego.

Dont u dare call me coward, i just dont like playing survivor anymore, because im bored even if i vow not to use Flares, dont equip guns, not 1 hit Hives, and dont use my hook.
Sometimes i dont even use camouflage, and i still win without it. Survivors are just to OP to be fun when played right.
as a little list of hints for suvivor players, read the second post, that explains most of my dislike for playing survivor...(and why hes so OP)

Lol , got my share of pesky invasions with Dark Souls 2 .... but maybe later if the game is too repetitive it could add some fun...

Noob question here , how does it work exactly ? Random special infected player is joining during quest time ?

The reason I don't want to play online is that my experience of multiplayer has been tarnished by the cheating and general rudeness that comes from the gaming 'community' of teenage sociopaths that is so pervasive these days.
The last thing I want is to have my game invaded by a wee cheater wishing me 'canker' and insinuating weird and wonderful sexually related scenarios involving him and my mother.
Why do developers tack on some last minute online component?

The first couple of matches I was actually able to play as the zombie I found to be very unbalanced indeed, but mainly for the zombie if I'm honest, well at the start anyway before you level up to unlock more abilities.

When I got into my first game there was barely anything I could do, the players knew what a UV Light was and constantly spammed their Q key for survival sense to know where you are. I personally think that the Q key at least should be on a sort of cooldown in BTZ mode only. Night time is supposed to be beneficial for the Night Hunter, but when survivors can just spam their Q key to see his location on the minimap all of the time it defeats the point if I'm honest.

And I don't think people are "scared", I just think they don't want to have to deviate from their mission to go in the opposite direction when they get invaded.

Night Hunter joins.
Looses 2-3 hives, dies 1-2 times.
Leaves.

Waste of time.

Due respect to all those who:
1. Do not leave the PvP once it's started
2. and who use the ability to avoid PvP in connection options menu but not by ragequiting.

Love u all.

PS. there is no Cooldown between PvP invasions. There were situations when i had 3 invasions one after another, i ran out of molotovs =) Not even a 10 seconds break.

I enjoy playing co-op but it seems all people want to do is run around. I would join people who are doing missions at around 30% complete or sometrhing but I don't know if someone level 13 or so wants someone level 24 to join them. I have completed the game except for a few side missions so I would enjoy doing some again in co-op but don't want to join if I am too "powerful" and ruins someone's game.

I also notice some people have it on night and invasion all the time. I don't mind doing that sometimes but not all the time. Doinf missions and killing common is fun.
Hrum Feb 26, 2015 @ 4:13pm
Singleplayer = good.
Coop = great.

1 vs 1 PvP favors night hunter
1 vs 2 PvP fun game
1 vs 3,4 = Night hunter eaten by humans.
