how to hold jump button?
not sure if this is a bug or what. playing on PC and have remapped keys. keypad 0 is jump. I am doing the tutorial and hold down 0 when I jump. keep failing and game tells me that i have to keep jump button held down to grab onto ledge. i am keeping it held down so i'm not sure what more i can do. don't see a 'toggle' option in the key settings. anyone got an idea?

i had jumping problems, too. For me it was working suddenly when I turned on "toggle" for sprinting. (instead of holding the button)

toggle is the default if I remember correctly, but you already stated that you remapped some keys, so thats your problem too, perhaps..?

otherwise, the only thing i can think of right now, is that you have to look at the edge you wanna grab.. - i think that makes you jump further. (but only in the general direction, so that is maybe not your problem ^^ - just dont look down :D)

Just wanted to thank you for this answer (long after you posted it.) On PC keyboards, certain controls lock out when other buttons are being pressed. It's one of the most frustrating things about playing games on a keyboard, because it's never explained or accounted for in the ways the keybindings are set up. It often requires solution very similar to this (having things toggle instead of hold down the key). Other times it can be solved by changing the keybindings as not all keys will lock out other keys.

The amount of frustration this causes me as a PC gamer who plays with a keyboard and trackpad... I really wish there was an easier solution than troubleshooting every game. Like a set of alternate keybindings and settings customized for keyboards for example that could just be loaded up rather than trying to figure out a solution every time a new multi-key action is needed.

Anyway, thanks. I think toggling sprint could fix this because it's probably locking out jump while Shift is held down.
