can i move back and forth between maps and out of the slums? *SPOILERS AHEAD*

so, i got to that point where i apparently completed all quests in the first area of the game, and have to go for the tunnel out of the slums. Thing is, I wanna leave without doing the challenges and outbreak locations challenges (with the red biohazard symbols) so I can leave them for when i finish the game. Can I go on normally with the game, and then move between these different maps whenever i want to go back and complete them later?

Once you finish the final mission you can go back and forth freely I know for sure, I don't know if you can sooner as I haven't tried.

Yes. At any point, that is possible. You can either fast travel (only from a very few safehouses) or go back the same path you got there from.

thanks guys! challenges/special quests (like the ones with the biohazard symbol) can be done at any time, even if I initially leave them behind, right?

i think its not possible to go from old town to slums the same was as from slums to old town. i tried that but the seewers are closed. fast travel is possible.

with fast travel you can always some ways are closed without

Soon as you reach the clock tower safehouse in Old city, you can fasttravel between the 2 maps much as you want

The fast travel map is in the lower left corner just as you enter the tower safe house through the window, it's hard to miss. =)
