The UV light works only on volatiles my friend, mid/late game with proper weapon it will be easy =)
2. use walls and quick to jump objects, not so much climbing side of buildings etc unless u hvae a slight lead
3. if ur low level you shouldnt try to fight at all
4. "resistance" and"night hunter" potions will help you take damage / boost ur stats. theres also speed booster potions that will give u a slight advantage
5. once you reach survivor rank level 12 get the grappling hook.
6. as other guy already said, stick to rooftops till ur higher level, minimal time on ground
i personaly never bother with the UV light, i just use to run untill i got higher level and now i dont need it. it does help though but i find its best just to run to light traps or isolate the volatiles to one on one them
yeah at the moment im too slow and I get tired very quickly as the volatiles get me, i thought stealth would work a treat but it doesnt for me, now im avoiding the night, not at a point where i can use potions, my weapons are total crap, even when i cashed in my dockets, i need to level up badly....
The UV light is great for weakeing them, so they die to less damage (shine on them until they are orange) and prevents them from pouncing you, good crowd control too.
Just wish there'd be an upgrade to the UV light, during invasions against high level night stalkers it feels really weak.
Try just sneaking around them, you can even use your flashlight because the volatiles don't really react that much to it. Just make sure to keep one eye on your minimap so you can dodge their viewing cone. As long as you stay out of their viewing cone pretty much everything is cool.
Also make sure to capture all the hideouts during day, really a live saver to have those close by in case you still get spotted and need to escape.
