How to start game in windowed mode?
My monitor's native resolution is 1600x900, and I need to get the game to run on these settings, can anyone help?

Generally, I try to find the useroptions file and just edit that, but I cant seem to find it this time.

Well, if you turn fullscreen to off, it'll become windowed, not sure if it's what you want to know though.

That would work, do you know how to make that happen?

Oh, well the problem I have is that when I start the game it's a blank screen (because it's not in my monitor's crappy resolution). So I need to make it windowed before it starts.

OOOOOOH. You didn't mention that in the original post. I think there are people around here who know their way around the options, you'll get the answer eventually. Sorry I can't be of more assistance.

Right click on the game and click properties then click Set Launch Options and type this in.

-safemode switch- (with the hyphens)

From the Patch notes:
• new issue tracking mechanisms (-safemode switch, additional logs, minidumps always, full dumps on request)

I have a problem, this may be a deal breaker for me...

I use two monitors, My primary is samsung dvi 2494 My secondary is a 43" LG lcd hdtv via hdmi these are connected to a gtx 960.

I pl;ay allot of games and have no trouble moving game windows and full screening them at max resolution to my secondary monitor (* the 43" lcd hdtv)

I want dying light to be on my secondary monitor, when I try to go into windowed mode there are no borders to grab with my mouse to drag the dying light window to second monitor with.

I dont know what the issue is here but this is not always the case, sometimes when I start the game I can move the window, most of the time there is no borders and it defaults full screen,. sometimes switching from full screen to windowed mode has no effect....

I fixed the issue with using the -safemode switch- but lost sound when I did this. is there a way to force it to use only the secondary monitor since it appears to be schizophrenic when you try to move it from one monitor to the other ?

Deleted Dying Light folder didn't help. The game runs better in safemode, but still haven't any sound. Any suggestions?
