Air drop has been stolen...

I keep getting this message across my screen: "air drop has been stolen".

What's up with that? Am I supposed to be watching out for random air drops and trying to intercept them? If so, I'm not seeing or hearing any indications of anything being dropped anywhere, just keep getting that message every so often.

Yes, they are inidcated by those blue markers on ur minimap with a down arrow. they contain survivor packs and medipacks mostly. U deliver these in for XP. Theres usually human enemies waiting there when u get there, and always 3 of them.

I recommend getting as many as u can, because they are a huge XP boost.

If you get there quick enough then there are no enemies and twice the loot.

You should hear/see a BIG plane fly over, then, if you look, you should see the air drop pop out of the plane and parachute down.

Then, there should appear a blue icon on the on-screen radar and, if you pull up the map, it should show a blue icon and you can set a way point and RUN to it before any bad guys get to it first and "steal" it.

not always true, it sems random. I got there literally 3 seconds after it landed,and there was ppl there. Another time i got there VERY late, and there was no one. I think its just a ranodm thing going on there, based on pure luck.

As far as I know there are no negative effects attached to the airdrop being stolen - it's simply the game saying that there was an airdrop, and you missed it. For the majority of the game, don't worry about it - I mean, sure, get the airdrops if you can, but don't stress about missing them either. They're a good source of Survivor XP though, so once you get a few levels below your belt you should try looking out for them more often.

Okay, now I see what's happening. Plane flies by, drops stuff, and I also hear a little beep when something has been dropped. Sounds like the same beep sound from the STALKER games for a PDA update... then the airdrop icon shows up on the map.

Thanks again. I don't know how much longer I'd have played without noticing any of this.
