Soo..... New Game Plus?
I remember Techland's other iterations of games with amazing NG+'s, and was wondering what the NG+ for Dying Light consists of. I've heard a lot of people say "There's a New Game Plus" days before release, and some that confirm it. And yada yada chicken noodle fire trucks. But no one ever actually says what the NG+ DOES.

Saying you have it doesn't help without saying what it does. It's like saying to someone "You have 4." ... "Four What??"... That's all..

One person speculated before release that it kept all weapons and skills and experience and items in the new game, but no one has actually confirmed that openly whereever I've looked.

you keep everything on your charecter weapons perks and all but you start the campaign over and the enemys get harder to kill

I'd imagine that no-one mentions what New Game + does simply because it does standard New Game + things that have been done hundreds of times before. It just seems expected you know what it is the same that you know the sky looks blue. If there was something special I'd also imagine that someone would say because it would be unexpected.

So very few games have a New Game + and NG+ from Mass Effect isn't exactly the same as a NG+ of Crysis.. I'd say roughly a NG+ only appears in 1/20 games. As for most Triple A games; Activision, EA Games, Ubisoft - they release around 10-15 games a year and they never put NG+ in their games.

NG+ is ok, nothing really changes, just more time to get rank 25 survivor really.

The new game plus on here allows you to restart the game with all the skills, cash, and inventory you had at the end. That's about it really. Plus you get to replay the story and side missions from right after Breckon's night out. Looking in my library you won't see this game as i play it on PS4.

I'm going to have to disagree, i one shot 90% of enemies on my new game plus. Bosses are one of the only exceptions that along with goons and demolishers. Everything else gets dropped instantly when i hit them. Also all of Rais' men drop weapons that do 800+ damage now so i don't even bother modding weapons anymore.

You don't play many different kinds of games then. Of the ones I play and remember, remember being a key factor, there are quite a lot of them that offer a NG+ or equivilent, not all of them call it this but it's more or less the same thing.

Either way there is enough examples of NG+ that, barring some differences, you can make an assumption on what it includes and go from there. The basic idea being you carry your character, usually stats and equipment, over to a brand new game with an increased difficulty. In some games I've played there are even new items and enemies encountered in NG+ to make things a little more interesting.

Name off the past 5-10 games with NG+ that I haven't mentioned and isn't Dead Island, that's not an indie game/side scroller/platformer.

still, it's a very small list in relation to 'all games'.

I suppose if you want to race to the end just so you can post things like " I beat it in 12 hours", then yeah... okay... but the vast majority of people are going to take a whole lot longer than that, and play it the way it was intended.

Back on topic though, I too was wondering if it had new game+, so it's good to see that confirmed.

Even that list doesn't quite have all the games I've played with a NG+ mode, it has most of them though, most notably it's missing the Souls series.

Ones I remember is Borderlands series, Souls series and Dead Space series.

I'm also pretty sure most of the Resident Evil series had a NG+

If it does or not that's still 9 games of the ones I remember that have a NG+, some of the ones mentioned in that atricle I've played but don't remember. You also mention yourself Cysis and Mass Effect, there is Dying Light. Quite a number considering I wouldn't count and of these as being indy, side scroller or platformer.

I will also add that what I remember there being as key, I have played many, many games, of those games I very rarely wanted to play them beyond the first play through so I didn't take any note of a NG+ option. I doubt I'd even play Dying Light in NG+.

How do you play the Dying Light NG+? I saw no prompt for it or anything and when I started a new game it set me back to level 1 everything. When I continued it at the end it just brings me to the tower with everything done already.
