The most realistic Field of View (FOV)?
What field of view option is the most realistic compared to life?

I feel at 1080p 100-110 feels most realistic, if you look straight ahead outdoors, while we actually have much higher fov, in games 100-110 feel real for me.
Ever play a game at 2560x1080p? Super-wide, as they call it? Something like that. So, I would say, over 100.
As high as it goes until you notice mad fisheye (objects on the edge of the screen stretching noticeably).

Beyond 95 starts to look weird and sorta fish eyed. I always play with 90-95.

As high as it goes basically. We have a 160-ish degree field of view because our eyes are spherical.

I'm playing with it all the way up at 1920x1080 16:9. Gives a great view of the surroundings and has no noticeable distortion.

You can't compare your natural vision with what you see on a screen.
Mainly because we see a field more in a 3:1 ratio than 16:9.

On a 3:1 monitor i would imagine cranking it up to 120 vertical FoV would be spot on.

past 95 is fish eye... I'm playing with 96 horizontal fov since 95 isn't possible.
