"Siblings" quest help... *spoilers*
So, , each time I get NEAR the bolter, he seems me screams like the ♥♥♥♥♥ he is, and I have to flee for my life.

Suggestions?

BTW, I'm using a butt-load of fireworks, but they don't seem to distract for very long...

2018 UPDATE: Thanks, resolved this a few years ago.

I threw a fire cracker to lure away the Horrible Night Demons (I can't remember what they're called, Volatiles?) and ran at him. We had a bit of a chase and I hit him as he climbed up a train car. I one hitted it with a base weapon so the only challenge is catching them.

i used crouch and was super sneaky i took him down before he even took off running.

I watched one from a rooftop, and spaming Q to keep track of all the nightmare zombies, and then waited for them to be far enough away and I'm pretty sure i just jumped down off the building, (it was shortish) and used my shotgun to just end the bolter loot him and than ran to the very close by safehouse (cause i chose a location with an easy escape)

I basically did it ont he first try because i was afraid it would be really hard for so long.

Yeah...the fire crackers don't do crap. I just ran in fast, killed the Bolter (takes like one swing), looted it and ran back out.

So far, the only ones I've killed have had their backs to doors/fences. Very easy to sneak up on. Only started fighting them since I've had melee weapons that 1-shot 'em, not sure how much that takes.

If you crouch walk up behind them, they don't see/hear you coming. You just have to time it so that none of the nearby Volatiles are looking at the Bolter. You should also prolly make sure you have an escape route, since it'll trigger all those nearby Volatiles when it goes down--even if you 1-shot it.

There's a pharmacy in-between the market and the tower. Pretty sure one always spawns outside it. Only open entrance to that pharmacy is a window on the third floor, which makes it a pretty secure building. Red door at the bottom is unlocked from the inside. Super easy to get to at night, super easy to hide in after you clock the Bolter right outside. There's a flag in it too, so you'll prolly want that.

Another easy get is on the bridge, looks like there's one that always spawns a few feet from the tower door. Tower is protected at the ground entrance by the fisherman village, so it's always safe at night. Clock the bolter, run back to the tower. Or off the bridge. Be careful with that though, hard to see the rocks at night. Learned that the hard way...

Thanks. I'm pretty good at avoiding volitiles and escaping zombies, I'll killing it, then looting it. Do you think, 1 shot from a pistol would work?

I was able to sneak up on the Bolter when there weren't any Volatiles around, and I just beat the crap out of him with a sword.

easiest way to kill one is to go at the north center (a little to the east) safe house next to a bus.
Enter the saf house, sleep till night. Exit the safe house, press Q and you will see one eating right next to the bus. Crouch from behind and kill him before he escapes. If you can cover your self with zombie goo (skill unlocked), and you unlocked the Finish ability from behind, even better :)

Oh hey, how does the mushroom potion work? Does it help at all?

I've gone to Bolter feeding grounds and still can't find any. I get close and a blue waypoint comes up with the icon for the feeding grounds, but when I get there there is nothing there but Volatiles, I even get a achievement update saying "Catch a Bolter" even though I still haven't seen one or gotten a tissue sample to complete the mission. Any help?

I don't even know if this is what the mission was supposed to be done, it just happened, LMAO.

Easy kill = grabel-hock, just stand on a roof and hock it in the back, jump down and grabel on to roof and run
