Dying Light
Remove point penalty for death.
This option has to go away, since we cant save this is more important. This game has no demo so like tonight and other times when friends are over for a bit they wanna try the game but cant because there is no way for me to let people play without dying and losing all my points.

This game needs a demo or remove the penalty of death so we can let friends try it who might want to buy it.

Removing the penalty of death would hugely impact the atmosphere of the game, having a legitimate reason not to die is what makes 'surviving' exciting.. Removing a penalty for dying would be a terrible idea for this game.

For the purposes of letting others play/mess around with it, having multiple profiles would make more sense, so you could start a completely independant game for your friends.. I havent even looked to see if that's even possible with this game, but I'm guessing it's not, or you probably would've done that already.

there is only 20 levels per skill and you cant lose levels so its not a big deal is my point.

or ya give us a save option to make more than one save slot so we can use one to mess around on and give to friends. its 2015 why cant we have 2 save slots!!!

Exactly. This is 2015, not freaking Everquest. Dying penalty didn't stick in games for a reason, the majority of gamers don't care for it.

It certainly does not add to the "fear factor" or make surviving a "special event." It just serves to piss me off something fierce when I die, and prevents me from trying new things that might be risky.

It serves the purpose of making things that might otherwise be scary or interesting, like a bloater exploding when you open a door, and makes them irritating as hell.

I already know when I quit it will be because of some stupid ass death that irritated me and I decided to try something else for a bit and ended up enjoying it more.

I have to deal with consequence all GD day, the point of gaming is to have a release from that. Maybe we should have jobs too? Do some manual labor for 10 hours and and then be allowed to run around in the city for like an hour after work? You have to eat sleep piss and ♥♥♥♥ too, or you die and lose xp... Could we get tax return into the game for DLC maybe? How about 1 death and the game is over unless you get a new copy?

While we are on the topic, I wish someone would make a movie that is just 2 hours of a typical work day. Maybe read some reports, go over numbers, answer some emails. Sign a birthday card for someone in accounting we don't even know. Sure she has a decent rack, but she's super married to a crazy cop, so you can't even risk looking at her much. Something fun and exciting like that. One can only dream!

Make it a difficulty level, people who want that can do it.

It literally takes 5-10 minutes to get the points back if you collect 2 Airdrops (30,000+ points) or complete a Sidequest (20,000 points). You can't lose levels; just a few points. It's barely a penalty at all. People are really overreacting here.

While I agree that sometimes serious penalties should be optional, I do feel like pentalties are necessary. Death SHOULD be worth something, otherwise, what's the point in even trying? If you can just breeze through a survival game without even trying or worrying about survival, what's the point?

By the way, if you really can't stand the penalty and want to try risky / fun things, do it as soon as you level up. If you have no points to lose on your current level, you'll lose 0 points when you die.

I believe that majority of people are just little beetches.

This thread can now be closed.
No way, pentalties have to stay.. adds a challenge and intensity to the game... if your dying all the time in the game, then your clearly not good enough to play it.

Train harder and build better weapons and stay away from Guns...
I think penalty for death must be more severe, since there is no difficulty level and the game is pretty easy even at nights. I just dont feel much in danger while running through the city. More like Doom with parkour
The consequence is so minor anyway, who cares?
I don't think it's enough of a penalty. It could've been improved to slow level progression.

its not much of a challenge more of an annoyance. it would only be a challenge if it deleted your save, even having a point system isnt realistic, thats not how life works.

The death is a penalty, not a challenge and you went overkill on the challenge example.

A challenge would be a DLC with only stun kills and stomp, while being forced to only use guns with modifications and I do not mean weapon effects.. Increase ammo by 25-50% and I enjoy instances like Quarantine, so perhaps more in depth instances with smarter human AI.

This games needs an option to be a strick FPS, hands on arse kicking experience.

Now you're just being pedantic. They were referring to the challenge of staying alive, trying to avoid the penalty.

And they're right; losing 4000 points or whatever means absolutely nothing, since you can easily get them back again by collecting a couple of Airdrops, so why bother trying hard to stay alive?

Try playing Dark Souls for 15 min , then try saying death penalty In this game is harsh.

Casual.

Lol, exactly.
Plenty is gone after you max the stat so you will get what you want kinda
The death penalty should be raised higher so we will treasure life more.

I heard they might come out with a hard mode so hopefully something like that will be implemented.
