Camera Keeps Drifting to the Left

This is a minor, yet annoying issue. Whenever I turn left, the camera will continually turn left very slowly, unless I push right on the analog stick. Anyone else have this problem and if so, have you fixed it?

same problem here. tried 3 different gamepads (xbox360, PS4, Xbox One) and no one works fine. Setting the deadzone to the max makes it better but still not fine. No problems in any other games. Also played dying light on my PS4 with the same PS4 gamepad without any problems.

Has anyone found a decent fix for this?

Another xbox 360 pad user with right stick drift issues... but just in Dying Light.

Makes walking on the edge of buildings a bit dodgy :) might work for someone who wants to play the game in 'drunk mode'... or sadists.

I have tried 3 xbox 360 pads here... my old faithful that works fine with everything and 2 brand new minters loaned to me to test on the game. (none of them recenter properley in calibration (win8.1) but work fine in games)

Loaning a xbox1 pad to test, but reading the posts and because all the pads I have tested work great in every other game, Im not holding my breath.

This is a problem with the game that all other developers seem to have worked out. and not a problem with every microsoft pad I have access to.

All the above posters have my sympathies as it looks like a great game made unplayable by this tiny glitch.

Assuming this really is a thing and you guys don't have busted controllers, all you have to do is keep your thumb on the stick. Keep it where it doesn't move the character. That's what I do. If you keep letting go of it of course it's going to keep screwing you over. Calling it game breaking is a massive over reaction.

I have this issue, only does it in fps games. I know it isn't my controller. It's a brand new Razer wildcat, and as I've mentioned, doesn't have issues in other games whatsoever. So far killing floor and dying light. Skyeim and fallout 4 don't have this issue with it.

like I said, it's the first time I'm experiencing such ♥♥♥♥♥♥ behaviour. I think Techland should fix it. Other developers are able to do so, why not Techland?!?

just make the adjustable dead zone a little big bigger should solve the problem

Not played it, so giving dead island by the same dev a once through, no drifting here.

Sad to say, after a couple of weeks trying suggestions from techland, to no avail, had to get a refund.

I'm actually being quite serious. The stick is sticking slightly to the left it sounds like.

I still don't understand why someone would buy an FPS game on a PC and use a controller instead of a mouse and keyboard.

How is that plausible if my controller is fine with literally every game but this?
There must have something to do with Dying Light, at this point.

I have an Xbox One Controller and my drivers are all up to date via Xbox Accessories win10 app.

P.S.: sorry for necroposting guys, but this is literally one of the 2-3 threads I found about this issue.

I even tried sending a ticket to Techland but they said they have no solution for this and it's quite 'peculiar" as a problem :|

I don't use a controller for this game but I do for others and the only fix I have found to work is alt tabbing out of the game and unplugging the controller then plugging it in again before resuming the game.. Might be worth a try.... if you have a wireless mouse or one that's easily unplugged might be worth disconnecting that aswell

so, its Feb 9th, 2018.. I just picked up this game again after getting almost all the way thru the pretty awesome DLC, just ran out of steam, and now ive got time, decided to play again. That said, Now I have this crazy drifting to the left crap... its not my brand new xbox one controller, because I just tried three other older xbox one controllers, + my ps4 controller, and the Keyboard and mouse, and am getting the same exact issue.. So can we drop the deadzone nonsense please?? thanks.. anyone got a real solution?

just to add, its not really a "minor, annoyance issue" I cant play the game because of it, I don't know if I'm weird, but since it didn't happen for the 100 hours I played the first time, it just shouldn't be happening, and I cant find any solution anywhere..

and just to be clear, it does this with my keyboard and mouse as well... unplugged and plugged, wired and wireless, yada and freakin yada.

one thing, that I'm thinking of, is your controller USB or wired plugged into a newer, USB 3.1, instead of a USB 2.0? if so, make sure to switch it to a 2.0 or type C USB and see if that helps... I just upgraded and only have the newer connections so I cannot test this myself, and am awaiting the Type-c adapter from amazon... thanks

I have a quick and easy fix, hopefully it'll work for you! Just go into the controller configuration and just change RS to RS mouse instead of analogue or whatever setting it's already on
