Anti-Gadoid Gun?

I'm wondering if it's just a joke gun or does it actually do anything besides waste 1 pistol ammo per shot. No results from searching.

Me and a friend tried to find out what it does, it doesn't do any harm. Rais men seem to be very afraid of it. It's just a type of decoy.

ive heard of people using it as a replacement for firecrackers but ive never done it myself becuase i accidently bought like 100 firecrackers really early in the game

I was just keeping it around as a noise maker when i finally decided to make night a prime running time. Good to know about stunning night creatues and babies. Babies re fairly easy though a good grappling hook shot can down em or one a modern throwing axe one shot.
