The game won't start

Now then, I've tried everything I can think of, re-downloading it, restarting steam, and even messing with the files to execute it directly (doesn't work), all it does is say "Starting Dying Light" for about half a second, go off, and then nothing. Any solutions to this issue yet? If so, thank you. Pls help !!!

I had the same problems. I was able to fix it by going to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Dying Light\_CommonRedist\DirectX\Jun2010 and running DXSETUP. Then go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Dying Light\_CommonRedist\vcredist There are 2 files, 2010 and 2012, run the exe for 32 or 64 bit ,depending on your OS, from both folders. Worked for me. Good luck

Hello hellyelcio,

Try to run the steam and game as Administrator, manually install redistributables required by the game and Verify Game Caches.
Here how to do it:

If this wont help you just create a Dxdiag file and send it together with your Logs and Dumps (if exist) files
to [e-mail].

How to do it:

1. Create a Dxdiag file. Read how here: http://en.support.techland.pl/support/solutions/articles/4000042573-creating-dxdiag-file
2. Copy all your Logs files. You can find them on your computer in: My Documents\dyinglight\out\logs\
3. Copy all your Dumps files. You can find them on your computer in: steam\steamapps\common\Dying Light\dumps\
4. Attach all these files and SEND WITH YOUR STEAM PROFILE NAME AND TOPIC'S URL. !!!
5. Send it to: [e-mail]

This will help us immensely in fixing the issues you may have.
