How do I invite friends for Campaign Co-Op?

Me and two friends are wanting to play campaign co-op but I can't figure out how to invite them. I have it set on Friends Only but I see no option to invite them..?

You have to finish the tutorial missions and then the game will inform you that you're able to do co-op. If you've already done this then I have no idea

How do I start the tutorial?

Is it just Campaign until I can move then do some of the story until it unlocks co-op?

It's the introductory missions which serve as a tutorial. Takes 1-2 hours

Yes, to clarify, it is the campaign. Just keep following the checkpoints they give you. It goes on for longer than you'd expect the first time.

Both players have to complete it yes, you may be able to get a second player to join but his progress will not sync then and he will not have the story completed on his character if he ever tried to host or play alone. Just have both players complete the walkthrough, it takes like 30 minutes, not 1-2 hours.

If I remember correctly, the coop option is unlocked once you secure the first safe zone that Jade asks you. (following the main story, not random).

Correct, that first safe-zone which is very small and has a few zombies and has one of those big guys with the two-handed weapons. It has propane tanks that is has you throw at him to blow him up and then you unlock co-op iirc. It's like 30 minutes into the game, at least it was for me.
