As for how it compares to the original, it’s made significant strides since launch -- though it started off much rougher than the first game, it’s improved over time, much like the original did. You can’t go wrong with the second game, but don’t expect it to completely reinvent the Dying Light experience for you. :)
I'm going to wait and see what the reviews are for the next one (DL The Beast) and buy it if it looks good. At least Crane reappears in that one.
DL 1: Zombie game with parkour
DL 2: Parkour game with zombies
It starts off great, feels amazing, but then it drags on too long and you notice all the issues, how it doesn't /feel/ right, how it wasn't as good as the last time, etc.
The melee hit detection is way worse on dying light two then dying light 1..
The guy swings his weapon at a group of zombies but then stops halfway when it hits the first zombie on dying light 2 (say there's four zombies in front of me I would only be able to hit two of them).
On dying light 1 The character would swing his weapon through all the zombies in front of him..(there is four zombies in front of me I'm able to hit all four of them).
Dying light 2 I am able to swing a single-handed weapon only I'd say 90° radius in front of me.
