Dying Light

Dying Light

Vis statistikker:
Failed to open dlllist.txt for reading. Error code: 2. I NEED HELP!
I can't play Dying Light for half a year for now, because when I'm trying to open the game, this error pops up:
( Failed to open dlllist.txt for reading. Error code: 2 )

What I already tried:
1) Checked the integrity of files in steam - everything is fine, nothing additional downloaded. The error remains.
2) Tried to run as administrator, nothing changed, same error.
3) I tried disabling antivirus, the error remains.
4) I reinstalled the new Visual C++, the other dependencies were already installed and do not need to be updated. The error remained.
5) Disabled steam overlay, the error remains.
6) There are no extra characters in the file path and the path is not long. The error remains.

Also I can't find this dlllist.txt in my game folder.

My PC:
Operating system: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro, Version 10.0.19045
DirectX runtime version: DirectX 12
Driver: Game Ready Driver - 565.90 - Tue Oct 1, 2024
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core Processor
RAM: 32.0 GB
GPU processor: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060

Who has the same error, maybe you know how to fix that?

According to this Titanfall Steam community thread;

https://steamcommunity.com/app/1237970/discussions/0/3046104862451359098/

some users solved this error by running the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable installer and using the repair option in the installer. (In that thread they also link to a YT video where the recommendation is to use the VC_redist installer to remove, and then reinstall the files).

I don't know which Visual C++ Redist DL depends on, (probably 2015), but you should have more than one set, listed by year, located in the following directory;

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Steamworks Shared\_CommonRedist\vcredist

You can try running each of them to at least repair the installation and see if that works.

Good Luck..

Hello again!
I fixed it. Just deleted the whole game and found 2 DLLs in Dying Light folder - winmm.dll and StubDRM64.dll
After I deleted those files and reinstalled the game, everything works fine now
I think a few years ago I've tried to play Dying Light with my friend who didn't have original copy of the game and I tried to mod my game to match his version idk...

Anyways thanks jasnxl for trying to help!
