How to play The Following?

I don't even know how to play the DLC for enhanced edition. It keeps saying buy The Following in the store and it's installed?

I believe you can start it after completing the main quest.

I'm about 93% done of the main game. Not even the DLC quarantine areas show up in old town or the slums. I hope it shows up *fingers crossed*

Complete the main game. Next return to the main menu, choose play (not continue) and choose The Following from the list shown. Confirm a new game.

Note: Your character will be imported from the main game, along with all his skills and his entire inventory. Your stash will be transferred as well, both the equipment and the outfits.

So I finished the original game, exited game to be sure.. launched game clicked play chose the following and it still says I don't have it and if I want to buy it?! I even confirmed that I do have the DLC installed. I can't even see the free DLC like the skins in my game. Also can't even see the 2 quarantine areas that were added as apart of the DLC for slums and old town. I have the enhanced edition.. do I have to have the other one that's more expensive?

Do you have it on a different PC client? Epic or GOG because you do not have it on Steam.

Do you have it on a different PC client? Epic or GOG because you do not have it on Steam.

EDIT: I do not have the Epic client but i assume it has a verify function for games. Use verify if it does as there may be corrupted files causing the issue.

Thanks will try those fingers crossed! Since you have the Steam version have you had any issue like this? If you had no issues would you recommend the Enhanced Edition or the Dying Light Definitive Edition?

No issues with the Steam version. Note: I have the Definitive version which was a free upgrade as i had the Platinum version.

Don't you already have the Enhanced edition? If not that would explain the issue with The Following as showing as buy.

Definitive is the final version of the game so that is the version you want.

I already have the Enhanced version on Epic it was a free giveaway. I might just wait for a Steam sale for the Definitive version since you had no issues with it sounds better. Also the achievements aren't popping either on Epic.. and I like farming achievements so Steam is probably better for that. Thanks for the info

I heard back from techland support. They basically asked me to delete my entire library and re-download everything the games and epic launcher to my C drive. I don't install anything but my OS to my C drive, I keep all my stuff on their own separate drives and game are on one by itself etc.... so it's doubtful that the Steam version will be any better for me. Oh well.. I never had any trouble with any other game's DLC.. this is just bizarre...

I've already deleted and redownloaded a clean install and still didn't work. According to support I have to use default drive C which is rediculous to me when I have over 2K games over various sites with various DLC and this game is the only fussy one.

DLC for a game in one game client typically won't work in another game client.
